How was it, ladies?
Saturday we drove up to Concord, NH to visit a friend and were bummed to see that it wasn't nearly as warm or sunny up there as it was here. Sad face. Afterwards we stopped by my parents' house and had dinner there with them and my sisters.
Sunday we slept it (I so needed it). We hit the Wrentham outlets for a couple of hours (I swear time moves more quickly when you're there--I told DH, who also got his shopping on, that "See, this is how you can easily blow like 4 hours here!"). Then headed over to our volleyball tournament, which was fun but my body is a little worn out today and I have to play again tonight.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: Wow that weekend flew by
Did you get any good deals at the outlets, Rock?
We had a rough weekend. We went to a housewarming party for friends on Saturday night in Lowell and got a call while we were there that my great Aunt was in the hospital and we had to leave asap to say our goodbyes. Unfortunately, the drive from Lowell to Norwood hospital is almost an hour and she passed away right as we hit Dedham.
She was never married and had no kids, so my father and my sisters and I were her only family left. We spent all day yesterday at her apartment, packing and cleaning. We had planned on spending the day packing yesterday anyway, but we didn't get any packing done in our own house.
Last night DH flew out to England. Poor timing for an international business trip.
I'm so sorry for your loss, LadyE. My condolences to you and your family.
We had a good weekend. Saturday night, we went to see Young Adult, which I liked, and then had a nice dinner at Fleming's. We spent waaay too much money, but whatever. Yesterday, we hit up the grocery store, then finished up the last three episodes we had to watch of Boardwalk Empire. Then he watched football while I read. I stayed up to watch Downton Abbey last night, and then couldn't fall asleep. So I am a total zombie today, despite my large latte. Boo!
I'm so sorry for your loss, LadyE. You've got so much going on right now. You should really get DH to reconsider having the pros pack for you. I'm sure you could use a mental, if not a physical, break.
I don't know how good my deals were. Lately I've been opting to spend a little more on clothing for better quality stuff and two stores I ended up buying stuff at were Brooks Brothers Women and Tumi rather than other stores I hit like Ann Taylor Loft
And all I got was a white button-down sweater, a couple of pairs of earrings, and a new wallet.
Weekend did fly by. LadyE, I'm so sorry for your loss
We went to the Kittery outlets since DH wanted to check out the Crate & Barrel outlet. We did not get anything there... I bought a few onesies for DD to wear to daycare at the Children's Place & Hanna Anderson. We were there for an hour max and came home.
Sunday we went to my parents, let the dog run on the beach and celebrated Hanukkah... and met my sister's new dude.
Boo for Concord weather.
I miss the wrenthem outlets, they are so good!
We nailed down 3 houses - we are deciding which 1 to buy this week. That was the big part of our weekend. Driving around, around, around the neighborhood, the park, going in and out of the houses, back and forth, measuring, measuring, measuring.
We go back to all 3 again tomorrow to secure floor plans and measure the back yards.
I did take DS to the little gym on Saturday, then had a girls night Saturday night. It was just okay. I am not sure why, but it just was.
Yesterday DH had a meeting that took up most of the afternoon so DS and I just grocery shopped, then I took him for a walk in his wagon. The weather was gorgeous here yesterday (and is again today).
LadyE, I'm so sorry. You have so much going on, and with your DH out of town on top of it all! Good luck with the next few weeks.
Punky, that is so great that you have three houses you like! Very exciting.
My weekend was super productive. Saturday we took down all of our Christmas stuff, including our outdoor lights, and got it packed up. Now our upstairs hall is full of boxes waiting to go up to the attic, but at least the living room is clean! I dusted under the couch and everything. Sunday we finally painted our china cabinet. I'm looking forward to getting the dishes off of my dining room table this week.
The Steelers loss was a big bummer yesterday, although they pretty much deserved it. My H is a Steelers fan so I root for them when they're not playing the Pats. At least I won't have that conflict next week... but I hated to see Tebow/the Broncos win another game with a big play. Sigh.
Also, I am finally feeling 95% normal again. Thanks everyone for the well wishes in the Friday post! They worked.
I am very sorry, LadyE.
Thanks ladies. Sorry, I didn't meant to hijack the thread with my depressing-ness.
I actually ended up at the outlets yesterday (since I've dropped 3 sizes since my H's grandmother's funeral a few months back, woohoo!) and got some good deals at Loft. I went to White House Black Market, which didn't even seem to be having great deals, and they were up my butt trying to get my to buy stuff. It was so annoying.
Punky, I'm so excited for you!! Have you decided which house yet? You know my vote!
Days just seem to fly by lately. Not just the weekend, but week days too. I haven't had much time to get to this board, hense posting in the weekend recap on Wednesday.
LadyE, I'm so sorry for your loss.
We didn't do too much this weekend but it still flew by. We check out BRU and had dinner out Saturday. Sunday was odds and ends around the house, specifically getting spare/unwanted clothes out of the baby's room.
