Our first 25K trail run this weekend!
This race was 15.6 miles of going up and down rocky mountains, through cactus plants and other things. The motto of this race is:
A Trail Run of Rugged and Brutal Beautywhere Everything Cuts, Stings, or Bites
The scenery was great! I stopped a few times to take some pictures. People were surprised that I did it with a camera. One guy told me that he wanted to bring a camera, but he didn't want to lose his concentration and drop the camera.
Other veterans were shocked that this was our first trail run, because apparently, it is a trail run for more advanced trail runners and definitely not recommended for beginners. LOL! Oops. Oh well. We both had a blast!
We camped the night before the race, ran the race and then headed to a small town to listen to one of his favorite bands.
Yesterday we went on a cave tour and had so much fun. I have never been to this cave before. The last time he was there was when he was in middle school. He said he remembered some of it.
All-in-all is was a great weekend!
Next year, we plan on doing the 50K! ACK! 30+ miles of the craziness! HAH.

I will definitely post pics. He has my camera right now, but once I get it back, I will post a few. I really never knew there are parts of Texas with that type of scenery.
