Cramping during Sex
Hello I'm just curious if anyone else has this problem or if its something I should be worried about. Last night during intercourse with my husband I got a small menstral like cramp in the (very) lower part of my stomach. I let him finish because it wasnt unbearable but afterwards the pain was unbearable. I could hardly move my legs. It was just like an intense menstral cramp! I put a hot pad on it, as I do when I'm on my period and took some ibprofen and was fine within the hour. I just find it odd and want to know if this has ever happened to anyone else??

I've had the same thing happen to me a few times and it's scary! Unfortunately, I am not sure what it is. I assume it has something to do with H's penis knocking the hell out of my cervix. I do have issues where he occasionally hits my cervix and it hurts during sex, and sometimes I spot a little. But the intense cramping always happened after he went through some really rough thrusting. I also was in a standing position (we were in the shower).
I totally was on the bathroom floor in the fetal position after one time for a good 20 minutes. However, the cramping happened about 2 minutes after we had finished so it wasn't like I was aware he was hurting me during. (of course, I'm the one who is usually asking him to go harder)
This doesn't happen all the time we have sex, and while I like it a little rough, he's eased off because after the last time I cramped up so bad he and I got a little freaked out. So my guess is it's related to your cervix. If I think about it, when I get a pap I get campy and spot after. Maybe try a different position and take it easy with thrusts.
If this happens again, I'd get a doc's input. Did anything happen after that?
Thanks everyone. I'm glad it seems fairly normal. From what I have gathered here and other sites its just from my cervix being sensitive to a certain position or from the amount of pressure. I will probably ask about it at my next appointment but thanks for your input.
By the way I know its not my "stomach" I was just using it as a general term. I realize its not literally my stomach that is in pain. Thanks
