Re: QOTD
That either Queen Elizabeth or Queen Victoria (I forget which) had 1 inch of make up on their face when they died.
King William never get his toenails and they were so long he had to wear shoes sized too big.
Robin Hood was real.
ETA: Knowing that Hitler's speeches were so moving/motivational (and very wrong, but he was a great orator if you don't pay attention to horrendous things he was saying) was because he had some sort of disorder where he would orgasm while giving speeches and the reaction he got from them.
ETA #2: Either President Wilson or President Hoover (I forget which) was a cross-dresser.
When Tchaikovsky was finished with The Nutcracker, he almost threw it away. He thought it was one of the worst pieces of music he'd ever written.

Local fact:
All waterways within the city limits of Detroit were absorbed by the sewer system with one small exception a small pond was left in a cemetary on the city's east side. Detrot is a very larger city geographically and this makes me sad but I like knowing where something is that goes back that far and is all that is left.
