Anyone want to come stage my house?

I'm starting to feel more and more stressed about the whole selling process and don't even have our house listed yet. I just want what everyone wants....to sell it fast and for asking price! And of course I think about it daily....and what I need to do to accomplish this. Any tips for the whole process?

De-personalize it, I am sure your realtor told you that though... De-clutter... make it sparkle!

Ohhh I love staging. Big thing is less is more. Clean with minimal furniture will make it look bigger and cleaner hence no clutter. It sucks doing this with kids, but try to put everything sitting out in storage. Keep it simple. Good luck!

Move everything you can out of the garage. DH would eliminate houses just based on garage size.

Aaaahhhh---Holly, I'm feeling the exact same pressure and insanity!!! Where do you live?? We're selling this spring too and we have kids that are about the same age!! Maybe we could come walk through each others homes and give an honest opinion! Trying to pack up this house seems pretty overwhelming at this point! I started with one room and am slowly moving on from there!

I would totally be down with this! We live in NW Omaha in Deerwood which is across 114th street from Deer Creek. Where are you guys? I haven't even begun packing the house up but feel like I may start this week. I'm one of those people who also likes to sell things on CL (big things) because I know I could get money for them (the frugal side of me) but I think at this point it will all be getting donated.

HI Holly! I live in Wynnewood--it's just east of Northwest High school, just off of 79th and Crown Point Rd. I JUST started packing and am slowly listing some things on CL...but just like you I need to start PURGING!!! Goodwill just opened a location close to my house, so I need to be a frequent flyer. How does this sound? Let's get our houses "ready" then just before listing...go over to each others houses. And I think we should VENT along the way

When are you putting yours on the market...we're thinking March. Maybe we should move this convo private---are you on FB?? I would just PM on here, but I'm rarely on my computer and posting from my phone is such a pain!!!
