DH and I are trying to update his base of preference list on ASK. We've tried a few different times and it keeps saying that he doesn't have permission to access that website (we've been on there many times before). I Googled it, and it seems that when you get that message it means that you need to log in with your CAC card. Before we run out and get a reader, I was wondering if anyone could confirm if that really is the case, or if there's another way to update his list.
And a quick intro because I know you all like them: I used to post on here as JPed34* when my husband was at BCT. Life got busy (see siggy) so I'm mostly just on TB these days. H is AD Army and we are stationed in GA. Posting this on here because I know this board sees way more traffic than MF does.
Re: Army ASK
Don't lie, it's because you know we're smarter. Although I don't know the answer to this question, lol.
Yep. We bought one and had to return it because it didn't work. And it was being sold by AAFES; DH got it at the BX. Hope you have better luck than we did!
If you get a card reader you also need to get the software needed so that the certificates on the CAC works.
I used this website to help me get my reader to work.
