Re: EW's 25 Movies to see before the Oscars
I really want to see the Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. I tried to watch United 93 and lost it. So, I know this might be a tear-jerker.
I've seen The Help, Hugo, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball, Ides of March, and J. Edgar and attempted Beginners and Tree of Life.
If I had to pick Oscars now, I'd say The Artist for Best Pic and Director, Descendants and Midnight in Paris for Screenplay, and acting awards for Streep, Pitt, Plummer, and Spencer. It'll be interesting.
I want to see quite a few of the movies listed above, but only when they come out on video.
The Artist, The Descendants, War Horse, The Help, Hugo, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Tree of Life, Drive, Young Adult, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
Will definitely see before Oscars:
Shame, We Need to Talk about Kevin, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (even though that's not on EWs list)
Will probably see before Oscars:
Albert Nobbs
Will rent:
Bridesmaids, The Ides of March, The Iron Lady, Beginners
Will see if it's on HBO and I've got nothing to do on a Friday night:
J. Edgar, My Week with Marilyn, Rango
Will see if I feel like crying myself to sleep:
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory
Will not see unless I have no choice:
Kung Fu Panda 2
Will buy on Bluray so I can watch it again and again:
Tree of Life
I've seen 7 (Artist, Help, Hugo, Bridesmaids, HP, Tree of Life, Moneyball) and my favorite by far was Hugo. Before the Oscars I hope to see Drive, J. Edgar, Week with Marilyn, Talk about Kevin, and the Descendants. I am reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and may see that as well.
