Things to Celebrate

I have some awesome things going on this week to share. Feel free to add your list.

1. I'm wearing size 6 pants today. Cheers to smaller thighs.
2. I'm getting glasses this week. Cheers to eyesight.
3. I'm getting new ink this week. I'll post pics on Friday when it's done. I'm super excited for this, this tattoo means a lot to me.
4. And the biggest one, I'm officially planning a trip to Spain for September. Here is my trip in case anyone is interested: http://andaspain.com/tours/camino-de-santiago-walking-tours-last100k

Wow that sounds so cool! I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! Do you think you'll spend some extra time in Spain and the beginning or end of the trip?

And congrats on the other stuff too!

  • I hope I will be able to spend some extra time there. The owner of this guided tour company is the girlfriend of one of my good friends. She did this trip last year and the pictures and stories are incredible.

We are having a wine and tapas night at their house next week to start planning everything. It feels great to have something to look forward to.

  • Nice! Congrats on all of the awesomeness! :)

  • Fun! ETA: Wait, I just looked at the link. You walk for six days?

I have nothing to celebrate until Wednesday at noon when I leave work and am officially on vacation! We're doing a cruise with two other (very fun) couples and this is going to be a sh!t show lol.

Fun! ETA: Wait, I just looked at the link. You walk for six days? Yes, you walk. It's a pilgrimage. It's a very leisurely pace and you're not carrying luggage. If I get tired they have rickshaw type things and bicycles. Also you get to stop whenever you want to eat and drink along the way. Then I'll be in Madrid for some extra days.

  • What an awesome list! The trip to Spain sounds amazing. DH and I plan to take a trip after he graduates and Spain is currently top on our list. I'll have to look into your trip because it seems like the kind of thing that DH would love.

  • Your list is awesome, Pants!

I'm finally getting braces on my teeth so that's kind of something to celebrate.

I'm wearing a belt that I previously was too fat to wear. I'm on the biggest notch it's an improvement.

  • That trip sounds awesome, Pants!

Mine is that the babe slept awesomely the past 2 nights and I hope she keeps it up.  A 5 hour stretch followed by a 4 hour stretch Saturday night and 2 4 hour stretches last night.  Yes!

  • Sounds like a good week and an awesome trip coming up!  I'm celebrating the fact that I just realized my office is closed next Monday for MLK day.  The 3-day weekend can't get here fast enough!

  • Yay for your trip to Spain!  Sounds awesome and the whole "Wander, eat, and drink" sounds like the best part.  I love to take walks in areas that are "feasts for the eyes" so that I can really take it all in, so that sounds like the perfect tour, followed up by some time in Madrid=awesomeness (never been there myself though, so sorry no suggestions:)

I am celebrating my hubby being home from his 3 weeks on his ship and spending time together with our little man with little to no fighting so far!  And he has not been as annoying to me either **knocks on wood.

  • Congrats for all of those!  Glad to hear you're moving on with this next chapter in your life...and that you're making it awesome.
  • That is an awesome list Pants! I have new tatoo I really want but I think I am chicken. The only place I think it would look good is my wrist which would mean wearing a watch or bracelet at work.

I am celebrating getting pictures taken by our realtor Wednesday and hopefully getting our house sold. I also am hiring a maid service to come every two weeks to keep the house clean while it is on the market. This makes me really happy.

  • Ooooh I didn't even click the link, Pants. So fun! My CW's father (who is 70-something) just finished up doing the WHOLE walk. There is apparently a movie about it that just came out too. It looks like a really really neat experience.

  • Awesome! Especially jealous of the size 6's!

My parents are coming in Wednesday and I can't wait! Then my aunt and cousins are coming, they've not met V or seen our house here. My grandparents are also coming, and we're having a surprise 60th anniversary dinner for them.

V's dedication is Sunday - we already had her baptized by my dad in OH, but we wanted to have her dedicated at our new church (sort of my dad's condition to doing it up in Ohio)

Damn that's incredible! It's almost 500 miles for the whole walk! My friend is really excited for the movie to come out, should be a really good boost for her business.
  • It sounds like everyone has great stuff going on.

Mine is that my new job is really going well so far.  I finally started doing work today instead of watching people.  I think I made the correct choice.

#2: Today is Bowzer's 2nd Adopted Anniversary.  He's currently celebrating my chasing the cat around. Party!!!
