  I always have a guilt complex calling in sick, but my body needs the rest.  The team is full staffed today and I have another 24h call Wed into Thursday.  I feel bad, but it's what my body needs...

  It's probably not healthy to be blowing my nose and coughing every 15 minutes in the ICU setting anyway.
  

  I agree with all of the above, I have a hard time calling out too BUT you need to take care of you and it probably isn't good for the patients either. So, rest up and feel better!

  So glad that you took the time off to take care of yourself & give your body the rest it needs.... way more important in the long run!!!!  Hope you're feeling better soon!

  Good for you! You definitely need some rest, especially since you're pregnant. How are you feeling? I couldn't imagine working 24 hour shifts during the first trimester. I barely made it through an 8 hour day at my sit-down office job.
