Vent about my day
Appt at 9:45. Called back at 10:50. Mind you, this is ONLY a nurses appointment- not even waiting for a doctor. All they have to do is hook me up to the NST and leave the room. Stayed hooked up for over an hour (64 minutes). Most uncomfortable position/bed ever, parched because of the sweltering hot room. So, 2.5 hours total after waiting for the OB to "okay" my NST for what should have been a 30 min appt. MISERABLE.
Scheduled Nolan's ear tubes surgery for Monday. 
Severe anxiety and bawling already.
Because of said surgery, I have to reschedule my ultrasound for Monday. They supposedly are booked for the next two weeks which would mean I would go a MONTH without an ultrasound... which is unacceptable for mono/di twins.
BLAH BLAH BLAH.
I wish I could drink!

Stupid, probably-should-know-the-answer-to-this-question question: Why do mono/di twins have to get so many ultrasounds? I hope they can squeeze you in.

Because they have a risk of twin-to-twin-transfusion syndrome since they share a placenta. It is most likely to happen earlier on in the pregnancy (before 24 weeks) but can pop up at any time. Because of the sharing that goes on, any sort of major growth discrepancy is cause for concern, whereas it isn't really with fraternal twins.
