Homeowners with a gas fireplace
We have a gas fireplace that we have literally used 10 times in 6 years, tops. However, now that we are selling the house, we would like to be able to turn it on for a cozy atmosphere for open houses/showings. When I turn it on, it has that "gas" smell. I know this is normal for brand new fireplaces, but is it for ones as old as ours? Is there danger in me running it a while to see if the smell wears off?
