and we have a baby in there! I'm actually measuring only 7 weeks, 1 day instead of the 9 weeks we thought based on my last period. So my new due date is August 26th!
Heartbeat was 130 and it's 1cm long. basically the size of a teeny piece of rice!
I feel SO much better now and it's finally feeling real for me and probably more so for dh. his face lit up when she turned the sound on so we could hear the heartbeat. so sweet!
Re: back from the doc
That is great Lauren. It feels real once you see it on that screen. So happy for you guys. That is a good heartrate.
If you have any questions about anything let us know.

Congrats Lauren (and Mark)!
August is a good time to have a baby!
oh geez. it's going to be hot as hades. lol.... we're trying to sell our pool on craigslist right now, but we may have to keep it for one more year!
KEEP THE POOL!!!!!!
Lane was born Aug 20th. I would have died without it last summer! Lauren, I am so excited for you!
Also, on that same pool note, I started getting in with Chase when it warmed up, before he turned one... HOURS of enjoyment (for both of us). I'll get Lane in there soon too. Keep the future in mind before you get rid of it! All you have to do is kid proof it if it isn't already.
Yeah, we've thought about that. It's just that our decks have to be rebuilt in the VERY near future (the previous owners didn't seal them, so they are in rough shape). There's a deck built up around the pool, so it's either rebuild them as they are now around the pool or take the pool down and build a different style deck. We just didn't see the pool still being there by the time we sell the house, so we were going to get rid of it now.
Plus it takes up most of the flat part of our yard. Not to mention it's pretty darn expensive to keep it running, water, chemicals, electricity for the pump and it's a ton of work for dh.
We've gone back and forth a million times on what to do about it. We have quite a few community pools, so we'll still have the option to swim when we have kids, it just won't be as easy.
Sorry I have not gotten on in awhile! But CONGRATS!! I know you are excited and I am sure you will have a creative nursery!
