I'm Back

I know I have been gone for a few months so here's the update for anyone who wants to know.  Before I disappeared, I was applying to the Army as a Healthcare Administration Officer.  Since it was a reserve only position and there were no open billets in my area, I was left with the options to wait til next year, apply for a line officer position instead of healthcare, or switch branches.  I chose to switch branches and am now applying to become a Marine Corps Officer.  It's kind of a good thing because, if my degree were not healthcare, I would have applied to the Marine Corps first anyway.

In other news, DH is deployed now and we took in a second dog shortly before he left.  We know she is 2 years old and we think she is a Doberman mix (not sure what else).  She's a real sweet heart.  We already had my parents, grandparents, and DH's parents offer to take them if I have to go to training this summer which is a relief.  I will definitely miss the heck out of them while I'm gone though and DH has already said he missed them.

 How is everyone?

Re: I'm Back

  • Welcome back. I am glad that it will work out for you in the USMC.

Congrats on the second furbaby. Both are adorable. :)

  • That's wonderful that your family is so willing to help with furbaby care. Although I'll admit it seems like it may be for more selfish reasons. Wink I bet they can't wait to get some quality time with your wonderful pups.

  • Woot!
I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
