How long to knit a scarf for a 4yr old?
SIL asked me to knit a fluffy scarf for my niece, who is almost 4 but probably the size of an average 6yr old. I am using a plush yarn stranded with a fun fur. It's almost 5" wide and I've got 3' knit so far. Do you think one more foot would be adequate?

This lionbrand "child's scarf" is 48inches, and this one is 60 inches, so I would think 4 ft would be good for a 4 year old.
Thanks. I didn't even think to look for a pattern. I think I will go for the 48". I will try it on my 3yo, though he's tiny compared to her and I might not get it back. He keeps coming over to pet it while I'm working on it.
