Thoughts and Prayers Please
Early Friday morning there was a fire in an apartment complex that a lot of our students live in. There were only two families (1 family is mom, dad and three boys-one is a 4th grader at my school; the other family is mom, one boy (1st grade) and one girl (kindergarten) who both go to our school) who lost everything, but thankfully everyone was safe.
This morning my principal gathered all the staff and informed us that the mom of the little boy and girl committed suicide early Saturday morning due to the stress of the situation. So now we have a little first grade boy and a little kindergarten girl with no mom and dad is not in the picture. Right now they are staying with cousins and will continue at this school, but we have no idea what will happen with these two little ones. Can you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they struggle to make sense of not only losing their home, but their mom? I will keep you informed as I find things out. Thank you ladies.
