Can we talk about HIMYM (laast week's)?
First of all, Aly Desinof is pregnant again IRL. I dream of being half as adorable as her when she's pregnant.
Does anyone feel like this show has turned very serious recently? I don't feel like I'm watching a sitcom anymore. I cry more than I laugh. I'm kind of ok with it, because I know that they're kind of wrapping things up, but darn it, this show used to be hilarious! And now I sit on my couch and sob for 30 minutes!
With the Robin episode before Christmas, does anyone still think she and Barney might end up together? I'm really not sure now, especially where it started becoming clear that he would want to be a dad someday.

I still don't feel like I've seen enough old episodes to really think I might know one way or another.
I think that it just makes sense that Barney and Robin end up together, but I'm not sure if that means that they will, or they wont. Maybe if they keep messing with who the mother is, they will throw everyone a bone, and have them end up together...or they're really throw a wrench in it, and they wont.
Maybe they're trying to show that Barney wants to be a father because they want to throw everyone off?
I do like the direction that the show is going, but it makes me sad that they're wrapping it up because I just finally got into the show!
I really feel like the writers are struggling to find storylines that will connect all of the dots when Ted finally meets the mom. Last week's episode was good, but what was the point? I don't know, maybe I'm just annoyed because it has turned from a sit-com into some kind of tragedy-drama.
I do think that Barney and Robin will ultimately end up together. I think the kids vs no kids thing will turn into a major story line and the resolution will lead to their marriage. I just can't see them with anyone else.
And they seriously need to get rid of Kevin! I don't like him, and don't know why he sticks around! lol

Kevin is sweet but incredibly awkward and I think they're writing him that way, trying to fit into the group but failing miserably, for his and Robin's break up to be inevitable.
I would like to see Barney and Robin end up together. It would be very Friend's-like for that to happen, and I'm ok with it.
I agree, I think they're having a hard time coming up with fresh content and stories while they're trying to tie up loose ends. I just hope it finishes strong.
