2nd birthday party locations for 30 kids under 5!

Any great recommendations - Main Line/Delco/surrounding areas?   I was thinking Gymboree but it looks like only 20 kid max and I am scared all of these will come.

What do you do when they have 8 and 10 year old siblings?  Do I have to invite them too?

I would like it to be out somewhere with something fun for kids to do.  I do mot need the stess of another at home event.  Ha ha.

Re: 2nd birthday party locations for 30 kids under 5!

  • I recently was in Lore's Chocolates in Center City and saw an ad for this.  I don't know what the age limits, etc. are, but thought it would be worth passing along:

My brother and I are a little under two years apart.  We usually were invited to parties together.  This was back in the 80s though, so I don't know what people do nowadays.

  • Obviously, I missed the part about 2nd birthday party!  That's what happens when you are up at 4:30 a.m. But that link may be of interest to those with older kiddies.

Is Build a Bear an option?

  • The little treehouse in chestnut hill is really fab. for parties they are held in the tumble gym in the basement.
  • My 3rd birthday was at Burger King. Ha!  My parents always tell me it was the easiest party they ever threw.  I doubt they even have parties any more.  Obviously this is no help to you.

I was going to say bounce u as well.  I do not think you have to invite all the siblings... it may be easier to keep the age range to the younger crowd. In college I worked at a gymboree type place and it was horrible when you had 2 year olds and 10 year olds in the same party because games you play with 2 year olds are obviously not exciting to a 10 year old.

  • Pancott Gym on Lancaster Ave used to do birthday parties. I think they'd be able to accommodate a range of ages.
  • I have had combo birthday parties at both Bounce U and Pump it Up and both T1 and T2 enjoy it, I think it works for a wide age range.

I am not familiar with that area unfortunately. However, we were at a 5th birthday  party at all Fired Up in collingswood which is a pottery painting place. The kids ranged from 1-7 and everyone enjoyed it, boys and girls, you can look for something similar.

The zoo does private parties as well. Franklin Square does now as well however you have to use Stephen Starr catering which can be pricey for what you get

  • We do birthday parties where I work at the Independence Seaport Museum in Philly.

It's not my department, so I don't know any of the pricing, but the kids always LOVE it. They are so cute in their little pirate hats and stuff.

  • Main Line - Club La Maison, Wayne

    Delco - My Gym, Springfield

Both great places and run great parties.

My Gym is made for children and you have the whole place to yourself.  Club La Maison runs a great party, but it is a gym and members are still their doing there thing.  You do have a room or two for game and cake.

  • if there is a little gym near you, they do a fantastic job. i had my son's party there last year and it was the easiest party we ever had.

i don't think i would do bounce u for 2 year olds...to much potential for them getting hurt. wait til the kids are older.

    have fun!
