...is that I am discovering things that I could have used rather than spending money on new versions. My latest discovery: oodles of stockings stashed away in the back of an old dresser drawer. I just bought a ton of new ones. At these will eventually get used, presuming they don't disappear into the dark recesses of my dresser again, but it was still money spent that didn't need to be. ![]()
And don't get me started on my basement. People could go shopping down there and stock their entire kitchen. Double
. Unfortunately when we moved 7 years ago, stuff got stashed down there that I didn't even know about, and eventually it was forgotten.
On the upside, I've been spending a lot of time admiring my much cleaner and more organized house. ![]()
Re: The problem with organizing my entire house...
We have a small apartment and no storage, so we don't have a lot of hidden stuff...except in our pantry! I just cleaned out our pantry and why in the world do I have 8 cans of tomato sauce and it's on the grocery list to buy more?

Congrats to a more organized home! We currently live in an apartment and cannot fit all our kitchen appliances (like our crock pot, for example) in the cabinets so they're kept in our spare bedroom's closet until they are used. However, I am definitely an out-of-sight-out-of-mind person so sometimes I forget the things we have.
