I just got word that FSILs water has broken. She and my brother are at the hospital. Hoping for a quick delivery- yesterday she was already at 3cm. She wants a natural childbirth so I am so happy (and also jealous) that she seems to be progressing so well!
They are team green- some of you may remember the ultrasound picture that I thought may have shown the sex. We'll know for sure soon enough!
Update! Baby is here! After water broke she was having contractions every three minutes but wasn't feeling them. A couple hours later she was suddenly feeling too much and was at about a 5.5, so she got the epidural.
At 8:10pm I got a text message from her asking me to let her dog out. I thought it was crazy that she was sending me the text (usually my brother texts me). She said he was down getting dinner with her mom and that she was at an 8.5. We texted a little more before I headed to the house.
I got to the house to let the dog out around 8:25. I called my brother to see if he needed me to pick anything up while I was there and got no answer. Texted to see how much to feed the dog, no answer. I took the dog for a walk and at 8:42 I got a call from my mom. HE was here!
Aiden Lee, 8lbs, 2oz with an adorable blonde faux hawk. I went straight to the hospital and was there until about 2am.
When I got there they were still in the labor and delivery room, which was neat because they delivered at Riverside, which is the hospital from the tv show One Born Every Minute. I got to meet 3 of the nurses. (my doc was on the show last season, so they all know her too)
Baby and mom are doing well, I feel bad because so many people really wanted this to be a girl (including mom to be), but he is so cute. He is only 5.5 weeks younger than mine! I think they will be best buds!
Re: Gonna be an aunt-- FSIL's water broke!- update!!!
This! Any news?
Congrats!
correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we all think it was a girl after looking at the U/S pic?

Yup, we all thought girl! Apparently the three lines we saw that looked like girl parts were the three vessels of the umbilical cord!
