Re: can we talk about

  • i just read it this am.  i get it, your famous, you want privacy.  but what about 3 months later when their baby is on the cover of US weekly or some sh*t?  i would lose my ef'in mind if kept from my children especially if they were in intensive care.  i think it's disgusting.  and way to be celebrity azzholes and give your kid another stupid celebrity baby name.  yes, i very much dislike them.

  • dittto and ditto.

if you want privacy, have a homebirth, or something fancy schmancy instead of impacting the lives of those "common folk" who can't do what you did.

  • I agree and think the name is stupid even with them trying to be clever using CD titles (Blue print-his) and (IV- hers).  Though I have heard about them not selling pictures.  I haven't seen too much about the birth on TV because I don't watch those kind of shows, just the complaints and links on the message boards.

  • i think i read yesterday that this was over-exaggerated. it was more or less that people were detained in certain areas for 15-20min until security cleared the area from what i assume was B and JZ or family and they could go through. he wasn't prevented from seeing his kids, but probably delayed 20 minutes. and if he was prevented from seeing his babies, don't you think other people would have come forward with similar stories?

and there are times when families are prevented from entering the nicu because of rounds or procedures being done too. i wouldn't blame this on celebrity being there too.

15 minutes, 20 minutes even if it was 2 minutes, it's still bs. Any amount of time that someone is prevented or delayed from seeing their baby is completely ridiculous and shiiity. Also, I have seen all sorts of different stories on the news regarding this circus.

  • In regards to the NICU, I know they're all different w/rules & regs -- my sister & BIL can't  go in twice a day, during shift changes in PM and AM... each stint lasts 1 hr, 15 min.

However, they plan their visits around these times.

When you do go to see your children, NICU, PICU, whatever wing they may be in, I guess the point is that you don't want someone preventing you access to your children, simply because THEY CAN...

and, while ITA, it may have been exaggerated a bit that dad still had the right to be livid even if it was 20 minutes bc of 2 celebs, not bc of NICU regulations

  • thats how it was at the hospital i was staying at. during shift changes they didn't allow visitors. that was twice a day. if nurses were doing rounds they knew where to find me. they would come in and ask if i needed pain meds or take my blood pressure.

i agree K, he had the right to be angry even if you exaggerated a little bit.

  • my husband was like, they could have called the cops on me, there would be no way you would keep me from my baby.

So stupid...celebs have babies all the time and that doesn't happen.  Give me a break

  • DH and I were both livid when we heard about this, and I really hope it's either not true or being really exaggerated in the media. As mentioned above, different NICU's have different policies, and it's totally possible he was told he had to wait for various other reasons. I just don't understand why celebs don't just have babies at home if they are so concerned about privacy. It just makes so much more sense. They have the money to make it happen, so why not?

  • What gives them more of a right to see their daughter than anybody else there....I could give two sh*ts about their money or their penthouse suite in the hospital. Oh yah, and that stupid song he made for her....I'm sure Blue will be proud when she's 30, she has a stupid name and her dad is a nobody....

I'm also pretty sure Beyonce wanted the whole world to know she had a miscarriage before this one....WTF is this world coming to?
