am i the only one that had *no* issues? i was on bcp for about 6 years (with 2 6 month-ish breaks).. i always had irregular periods when i wasn't on bcp...so when i stopped taking it, it wasn't unusual that my first cycle took 40-ish days, that's "normal" for me. but i never had anything else that you girls have mentioned...moody/bloated/weird body anomalies.
just wondering if i'm the only one that didn't have any issues......

Re: stopping bcp question
I was on BCP in my late teens and early 20's due to irregular cycles (though I found out later in life that my cycles were off because my mom stressed me out LOL), and when I got off them, I was fine. Though, I wasn't super into paying too much attention to my body anyway (the lady stuff, that is), but there's nothing too weird that I remember from coming off BCP.
Though I do know that I'll never go on BCP again, TYVM. It's FAM all the way for me.

When I was on bcp I had no problems. Helped regulate my cycle and got rid of my painful cramps.
Depo on the other hand I will never take again.
my currently-reading shelf:
I just went off BCP in August of last year. I went on BCP sometime in January of 2001.
Before I went on BCP, I had incredibly heavy, slightly irregularly regular cycles in that it could be anywhere from 28 days to 34 and AF was in town for about 10-12 days heavily. I had my period since I was 10.
Post-BCP, I have pretty stable 26 day cycles, with AF in town for 5 days, no super heavy days. (On BCP regulated 28 day cycles with AF in town for 5 days.)
So for me, that's kind of an anomaly that I hope doesn't go back to 'normal'.
I took a break from bcp during most of 2010, and my periods were in almost perfect 28 day cycles for that whole year, and no change in heaviness, cramps, or attitude/behavior. I was on bcp for 6 years before that.
I'm back on bcp and the only real difference I can tell is that my acne was a little bit worse when I was off of bcp.

I had no problems quitting HBC (I was on the ring), other than it taking a while for my AM temps to settle down into their current/"real" norm -- I even had an obvious temp shift my first cycle off HBC.
HBC itself ... well, the issues I have with it vary depending on method. The ring wasn't bad except for completely killing my sex drive, e.g.!

i was on bc in pill form or depo form for almost 10 years. when i got off, i had no issues. i'm back on but i'm about to be off again! hopefully i'll have no issues!
