I was being a good girl and walking on my treadmill. TV was on Food Network and there was a commercial for a new show featuring Pioneer Woman. First show is 10am on Saturday if anyone is interested. ( I thought a few of you really liked her)
Re: Foodies
They had at least two episodes on a Christmastime. I think to see if it was going to be a hit or not. I watched one and thought it was OK.
I wish Food Network had more cooking shows and less competition shows.
I used to like her blog, but oh the pictures! I don't need to see what soy sauce looks like! Her show was meh, she isn't comfortable in front of the camera. Marlboro man on the other hand is which is funny since he is supposedly so shy.
I agree, although I think they should switch both channels formats. Let Food Network have shows with competitions, history of foods, etc. and Cooking Channel be all about cooking. Not have both channels be a little of both.
Yes! I loved Cooking Channel at first because it was my refuge and a reminder of what Food Network used to aim to be. But it's starting to become Food Networkified. Makes me nervous. :-P
Ditto all this!
I really liked a couple of the recipes she did (9 Hour Burgundy Mushrooms? What up!), but I felt like I was watching a glassy-eyed robot at points. Not so sure she has the personality for TV.
If I see one more "Cupcake Challenge", I'm going to punch someone.
The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware; joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware. -Henry Miller
