Triad - Wiggle Bugs

Maddie will be 2 around the time the next session starts and I was wondering if anyone has done this or any of their classes. Any feedback would be helpful. TIA!!!

Re: Triad - Wiggle Bugs

  • i taught this class at TriAd when we lived in ankeny -- it was fun, and most parents and kids seemed to enjoy their time.  it may be different now, but we started with a couple of songs and most of it was following the words (jump, stretch, skip, etc.) ... similar to a toddler time at the library.  each class period would go into an area of the gym .... usually the parent/child classes stayed with the mats, mini balance beam and bars to hang/explore.  the parent(s) stay with the child and a lot of it is exploring and developing large motor skills and playing and becoming comfortable in a new environment.  sometimes i would observe parents getting caught up in mastering the skill and get frustrated if the child didn't want to participate or do it a certain way, etc, but overall the class was well-received and it would be a nice get-a-way this winter!!

  • Yup, it's pretty fun! Mostly an obstacle course, jumping on trampoline, jumping in foam pit, testing out different things like bars and beams. Ella went there for 3yrs and quit to join soccer and now wants to go into gymnastics again! It's a nice facility! If you need some leotards, I might have some smaller size ones left!
  • We are moving back to Ankeny (FINALLY!!!) in two weeks.  What is the cost?  I want to get Harli started in something.  She will be doing Waterbabies starting in February but I would like something else for her to do also.

Side note: I am so happy to finally be moving back to Ankeny.  I grew up there and love it there.  After everything that has transpired the last two years, I am glad to "go back home". I just miss the feeling of "home".

  • I am so glad that you get to come back home.  We love Ankeny too!

The new term starts in March but you can start anytime and they will prorate.  4 Weeks is $53 and if they like it then we can do a trimester (3 months) for $151.05.

Maddie won't be 2 until March.  I need to check back with them to see if we can start a little early.  It will be a fun activity while it's cold.  We are going to do an evening class, if you want to join us, that'd be great!

  • My boyfriend and I are discussing the cost and see if its something we want to do. We are leaning more towards enrolling her for a month to see what she thinks.

We will definitely do a night class.  Are you doing Tuesdays or Wednesdays?

You can email me at kelli(dot)luzum at yahoo if you want to chat about it more.
