Re: Fit Chicks!
DH and I started WW again last week too-- I let him do the meal planning this week and we are starving. He just isn't getting us enough food! With the new plan, I have 47 points (since I'm BFing) and it's just insane.
I have yet to work out but that's my goal for some time in the near future.
Good job, Meg! That must feel awesome to start off the year successfully! Brava!
As for me, I have just been continuing to reduce my portions, make an effort to eat more fruits and vegetables, cook more/eat out less... Without really exercising, I've been able to lose 20 pounds since the summer, without giving up dessert (well, only ice cream because that packs on the weight like nobody's business for me)...
After being on vacation for longer than expected and totally not using my treadmill, I was surprised that I maintained. Went back to work last Friday, and it was also weigh in day, so I figured that was the best time to get back on plan. I did the treadmill on Friday but was horrible at counting points. Continued to be awful at it all weekend.
Yesterday I woke up feeling sick so no exercise and I over indulged all day long. I used 20 weekly points all in one day. There was 0 moderation. Today was better but still over indulged. Hoping to at least lose a half pound this week. I gots to get back on it!
I hope you ladies don't mind, but I would like another place to be held accountable.
Working out is non existent for me. Horrible excuse, but I really can't find the time. Between working FT, taking care of 2 toddlers, I usually am in bed when they are. Doesn't help that DH and I work opposite schedules, but chasing around the boys counts some right?
I have been doing WW for over a year now. I basicaly lost about 10 lbs and maintaned for around 7 months. I am 0.6 lbs away from my 10% goal of 23 lbs now. Since the holidays are over I have decided it's time to step it up, and do more. I am only 6 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight. I want it badly, and then the true weight loss journey will begin. (I want to lose another 30 lbs after that).
My DH is an ice cream obsessed man. But we got him to switch to Hood's line of fat free and reduced fat frozen yogurt and he's been happy with just that and not the full fat versions. So, if you love ice cream, check it out. Our Hannaford usually has a couple flavors (FF chocolate, FF vanilla, RF peanut butter cup, etc.) in stock.
Same here! Especially with the warm weather we have been having I have been daydreaming about running, not only for the exercise, but for the "me" time! Can't wait for summer! I have also gained less than I had with Eli at this point. I am just hoping to keep it up for the next 10 weeks! Getting tougher to workout since my energy is dropping and aches/pains are increasing!
Although I'm on the gaining side of "fit chicks" now, I'm trying to stay within the "ideal" gain amounts that my doctor and insurance company have told me. So far I'm only up 5 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight (2 pounds in the last 4 weeks). My doctor thinks I MIGHT gain another 10, but she said that'd probably be it. I was considered overweight in the first place, so my ideal range is only 15-25 pounds.
So far I haven't been working out a lot, which bums me out. By the time I got over the chaos known as Fall, it was the holidays and we were away. I got back from vacation and promptly got a head cold, which has socked me out for almost a week. I'm hoping to hit the gym again next week so I can bounced back faster after the kiddo comes.
In terms of diet, my biggest components have been greek yogurt (both regular and Stonyfield's drinkable) since it has such high protein.
I haven't weighed myself because I am basing my loss on clothing sizes instead of weight... eventually I will weigh myself... but my new pants that I bought before Christmas don't fit because they are too big... so I guess thats a good thing...
so far I have given up soda, watching portion sizes and trying to cook more and go out less.
I'm maintaining at a weight I can not wrap my head around. I haven't lost any since I was 2 weeks pp and can come up with a million reasons why (holidays, not being cleared to work out until I was 9 weeks pp, not enough time, blah blah blah.)
I need to get moving. I started Zumba again on Sunday, which felt awesome. The instructor gave birth about a month after me and you would never be able to tell. Hello motivation!
I need to meal plan. That's all I'm going to say about my current eating habits.
You girls are doing great!
I have been pretty consistent with 45 minutes on the elliptical at the gym 6 days a week. And I am getting my stress induced sweet craving under control. But even though I am at the gym nearly every day and only indulge in sweets once a week I have lost nothing!
I went to my gyn yesterday bc I have been spotting on the low-estrogen pill for months, and I mentioned my continued hair loss and inability to lose weight so he tested my thyroid...
