Re: Babies and bumps (to-be)

  • Well, this is the last natural cycle for us.  I'm currently at 12 DPO, and with dropping temps I'm not overly optimistic anymore.  So after AF starts (probably by Sunday), I'll start taking clomid and we'll move on to our first IUI cycle.

I'm a little sad that we haven't been able to do this on our own, but also excited that some assistance might finally result in a BFP!

  • Nothing really new with my boys! Preston and his little friend Peyton from daycare have been such a mess this week. They are so funny to watch I went early yesterday and hung around for a bit and it was so fun to watch them baby talk and play together!

Jordan gets his report card from school on Tuesday. I am not worried about I am sure he will have all a's and b's since I know thats what he had before his 9 weeks test. I am so proud of him!

  • FX for your IUI cycle sushi!

Things are going well.  I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow, which is just sort of crazy.  I mean, theoretically I could have a baby in 12 weeks.  Ahh!  There are a LOT of projects to do around the house, and while I'm still mostly good to go, I'm finding things are taking me longer, so, I think both Derek and I need to make some lists!

Here's a picture from this morning.  I'm not a huge fan of the picture, but love that Chloe wanted in, so, I'll share it anyway.

    image

I've definitely got a belly and often find myself rubbing it often.  It's hard to see in the picture, but the bottom is pretty round.

I think that the last 2 mornings Derek's alarm has woken all 3 of us up.  Both yesterday and today saw a big burst of movement after the alarm started blaring, so that's really neat.  And I got a whopper of a kick on my drive in this morning.  It actually startled me!

Tomorrow I'm off for my glucose tolerance test, and a much needed haircut!

  • Nothing too exciting.  We had an appointment on Monday but the doctor did not do an ultrasound, just used the doppler to hear the HB.  Not that it isn't exciting to hear it, but since I have a home doppler, it wasn't as exciting as getting to see the LO.

Our anatomy scan is set for February 6th and we will hopefully find out the sex of the baby!  The doctor has said everything looks normal (basic measurements), but since I did not have an NT scan or any other tests for abnormalities, I am a little anxious to hear that everything is good with the baby.  I'm not overly concerned and it wouldn't really change things, but it would be nice to hear that everything is developing on track.

  • Nothing new to report with the boys.

They are finally (I think) starting to feel better. I did't have to wipe ANY noses yesterday, and they were full of energy when I picked them up at DC.  I will admit, when I got there they were still in the toddler room (usually they are in the play area). It was awesome to see them interacting with other kids, and dancing to the music with everyone.

Oh, and most importantly, they BOTH slept through the night last night.  It has been a LONG Time since I have had sleep like I did last night!!!

  • hola! I am 7 weeks today, which means we have a blueberry, weeeee!

we have our ultrasound today at 1pm. I haven't felt the cramping since yesterday, but I'm still anxious to know that everything is alright. I don't FEEL like there's anything wrong, but what do I know?

um raynes, I want to rub your bump. and your Chloe.

GL to you sushi on your IUI cycle! FX for a BFP!

The fruit things just crack me up.

I'm totally exhausted today. I just wandered around the school looking for a bag of caffeinated tea, and NO ONE had one. Blech. I just want to sleep all day! Other than that, I'm feeling good. I'm at 13w5d, and I feel like my waist has lost some definition. I bought some clothes from jcrew in a larger size than I would usually wear, and I'm swimming in them, which makes me both happy that even though the scale says I've put on 6lbs (how much of that is Christmas, I'm not sure), that perhaps the weight isn't in the butt or thighs yet. But, I'm also sad, because the clothes don't look nearly as cute as they would if they actually fit properly! I know I'm not going to be one of those cute skinny pregnant women, so I'll fit into the clothes eventually, but it's a weird place to be.

I've been ogling sensible (and transitional!) nursery pics over at Lay Baby Lay, some of the inspirations are super cute, I'll admit. Mostly I love that the rooms could grow with the kids (or that I would totally have something in that style now).

I'm totally digging this one right now:

  •  both of those are super cute but i LOVE that 2nd one! The blue crib is awsome! I can't wait to see pics of whatever you find.

  • Hayden is 12 days old today and we are just trying to enjoy our time together before I have to go back to work. I know that it's going to come so fast (I go back the 2nd week of February). I know that will be super hard!

Other than that she is just growing and I love just watching her. We make sure to go visit my mom and my sister as much as we can, they are so cute with her.

I also started back to school on Monday, so Jason gets her 2 nights a week. It's hard to leave her but I know that some Daddy/Daughter time is good for them.

Here is a new pic.. I'm finally on my computer and not just my phone so I can post some. Don't mind the quality, it's a cell phone pics.

  • Sushi - FX for you. I hope you get your BFP with IUI #1!

Raynes - Your bump is adorable and so is Chloe!

Mandee- FX for you too! Hope everything goes well at your appointment.

Charity - Hayden is so beautiful! Keep the pictures coming!

Nothing new to report with our TTC. I'm CD19 today with no O yet. I haven't bought any more OPK's so my plan was to to BD every other day from CD 13 to O, but Jason's hasn't wanted to BD with house guest. I'm thinking I might not give him a choice tonight Stick out tongue

  • Charity - I keep saying how you have one of the cutest newborns I've ever seen. I generally think they look like aliens, including mine. She's such a love bug.

We are in the process of getting a mobile baby. He's got his knees down and is starting to army crawl. I have a feeling in a week or 2, we'll have a crawler. Oh how things will be drastically different.

He's also starting to talk, which sounds more like Tarzan yelling and a pterodactyl, so cute, but not always pleasant if he's playing in his crib. We're still waking 3 times a night or more, so this momma is tired all the time. I do enjoy seeing his cute face a few times a night without all the distractions of dogs running around and TV on and whatnot. There's something to be said for just rocking a baby with a night light on and rain sounds coming out of the sleep sheep.

  • Things are pretty much the same as they were last week for us though I do have a big AW. I've been trying to get Olivia to repeat certain words and sounds but she hasn't caught on yet until two nights ago. I told her to say mama and she said clear as day mama. I know she can't connect yet that I am mama, but it melted my hear to hear her say it. Then last night at dinner she looked at me and said ma. It could just be a coincidence or her repeating the word, but I still got excited that she looked at me when she said it.

  • Sushi - FX for a surprise BFP this cycle, if not lots of luck for the IUI.

Charity - Hayden is adorable and love the outfit

I'm doing good, I think nesting may be kicking in, but its hard to tell if it's that or just general OCD tendencies.  However, when I got home last night I took everything out of the fridge (drawers, shelves, and cubbies on the door) and scrubbed it all down.  It wasn't filthy by any means, but def hasn't been done in a while.   I'm feeling pretty good for the most part, still dealing with back pain, but that's not really going to go away or get better.  I have minor scoliosis (sp) and have always had middle back pain (around my bra line)   I can manage it during the day, but its started to keep me up at night... just means more naps when I get home from work :)

  • Edmund has been going through a growth spurt. It has been killing both of us with lack of sleep. The last couple nights I had only gotten about 3-4 hours because he just wouldn't go to sleep and then once he would I would have to leave to get ready for work. Last night however he slept from 11:15 to 8:15 straight. No wake ups or anything. It was glorious.

He now has 2 teeth. I've tried getting pictures but he doesn't cooperate most of the time.

It has been 2 months since we last saw a doctor and we don't have to see another one until the 23rd when we meet with the ENT to have another hearing test done and talk about speech therapy.

And thanks for all the wishes, ladies.  I'll keep you posted.

  • Gibson lost his first tooth finally. It was horrible. I felt so bad for him, but he wanted DH to tie a string to the door and his tooth and slam the door. He made me video tape the whole thing. I had to mask my un-easyness about the whole thing by laughing. He wants his next tooth to come out the same way but I don't think I can watch it 2x in a row.
He went back to school on Monday and I was called in to talk to his teacher after school again. It was the first time I heard positive things about him from his teacher! I didn't recognize his printing and had to ask his teacher who wrote in his book. It was so neat and I could actually read it! I am so proud of him. The medication is working wonderfully minus a few side effects (not sleeping at night but being tired during the day and a loss of appetite).

Izaac is growing into such a little man. He made Russ a coffee this morning and is (and has been for about a month) fully potty trained with not a single accident. It's so nice to not have to clean poop off of everything anymore.

Had to edit this part with a couple pics.

Here is a link to Gibson reading to me.

Here is his missing tooth. It's the only one I have so far that isn't bloody and full of slobber.

  • Late update again - visited my parents again today.

Up: We started giving Darian some sweet potatoes last weekend and he effing LOVES it. Silly little guy grabs my arm with every spoonful and shoves it in his mouth like it's the last bite of food he'll ever get in his life. I'm glad that he's generally enthusiastic about food.

    image

Also, we went for his first swimming class yesterday and he loved that too! He was one of only 2 babies who didn't cry (I think there were 6 in total). My next door neighbour has 3 little boys and gives me hand-me-downs, and among them was a baby wetsuit - I think the wetsuit may have made the difference by keeping him nice and warm. I can't wait till next week!

  • Hi Ladies,

Ups: Myles has started eating meats. That's pretty much the biggest news here. We're working on crawling, He is sitting really nicely now, and is starting on finger foods. He loves to stand too.

Down: Honestly I feel like Myles is really behind a lot of the babies that are his age and even younger, but the ped. keeps telling me everything is fine. I guess it's just hard when I don't know enough about his biological history to get an idea of when he might reach milestones. Of course being a special ed teacher I'm extra paranoid.

Mo don't feel down. Edmund is almost 8.5 months and hardly eating solids and doesn't crawl. Myles is not behind, if he was Edmund would be way behind and he wasn't a preemie he was 1.5 weeks late.

  • I'm not even updating on the right day, but I couldn't summon the energy last night to turn on my computer.  I took a little nap on the couch from 6:30-7:15, caught up on NCIS on DVR with Ed and went to bed at 8:15 and finally had a good night sleep for the first night all week.  Today I am a little less wiped out, and it's a snow day!

Other than being tired and being sick in the evenings (which at least makes work do-able), I don't have any new updates.  I ordered a prenatal yoga DVD that should be here today, so I am going to try to get back to some exercise.  Being sick in the afternoon/evenings have meant that even though I have been cleared to work out again, I haven't felt well enough, so having all day today I am hoping to get back to it.

My next appt is Jan 31st for my NT scan...and then we will start to tell a few more friends...
