As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Update on Luke, allergies and daycare
Well, here we go. Luke had a scan of his sinuses to see if anything is going on there that could cause his cough. The doctor expected to see nothing but turns out my little guy has a chronic sinus infection.
He is now on a 3 week round of antibiotics. If that does not clear it, he will need surgery. Again. This poor guy is 4 years old and has already been through 3 surgeries! I really don't want him to have to go through a 4th so keep your fingers crossed, that the antibiotics clear it. He has one more week to go and as of today he is still coughing.
We assume that his allergies are to blame for this chronic sinus infection. At this point I can't take any chances anymore. As soon as we got the results I contacted his daycare mom and told him that he can not come back. I was in tears for days, still am but I just can't expose him to the cats any longer if his body is reacting this way. I guess at least I can say I have tried everything and not just given up right away.
I enrolled him into a Center near our house that offers a PreK class.. but the schedule did not allow me to continue bringing him to his current pre school that he went to in addition to daycare. So I had to pull him out of that too.
It was a heartbreaking decision and I hope with all my heart, that this will fix him.

Sidenote- we have a mutual friend, the owner of LIttle B's. The hat she made that you commented on is for Evie.
Oh that is too funny. Her daughter Braelyn is Luke's girlfriend. I mean seriously, those two love eachother.. lol. Braelyn made a Lego Wedding Cake and Luke gave her a ring, hahaha
That's awesome! I don't get a chance to get down and see them much anymore. They might as well be across the country not just across town. :sigh:
