Zumba, anyone?

It's being offered at my office ? classes start next Tuesday, 5:30-6:30pm, for 6 weeks. $60  - Pre-registration for the class is required (no drop-ins) and payment is due prior to or at the first class.   I'm going to try it, so the added benefit to you will be watching me pretend I have rhythym.   If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you the contact information to sign up. (Sorry for late notice - I just learned about it myself.)

Re: Zumba, anyone?

  • I've gone a couple times (offered at my Golds) and yeah, it's a humbling experience for my very white dance skills.

But, I will say this, the time flew by and I was FLINGING sweat within about 20 minutes. Great workout. Enjoy!

  • I've went 4 or 5 times in the past couple of months, and like BGP said, it's a great workout!  It made me realize just how sucky my dance skillz are - but, no one seems to notice or care.  I've been to 3 different instructors, and the instructor really makes or breaks the class (I guess that's the case for all group fitness classes, right?)

    Have fun!

  • Sounds fun.  I wish I had the motivation to schlep over and join you.

  • I really miss zumba (classes that were offered at my apt. complex were cancelled). I don't think I could make a class by 5:30 or else I'd be interested. Have fun, and don't worry about how you look- just move! I was a bit self- conscious at first, but just let loose after a while. It's a fantastic workout- I always felt energetic afterwards.
  • Have fun!! I love it and I'm not coordinated at all. I've had a couple different instructors and they just want you to try your best and keep moving. The exact moves aren't terribly important. ;)
