Free dog box

I made a bowl of cereal (yummy, sugary kid cereal) and realized I'd left my magazine in another room. I set my bowl on the kitchen counter six inches from the ledge, out of doggy reach - or so I thought.

I come back into the room to see Petey on his hind legs, lapping away at the bowl of cereal with his go-go-gadget tongue. I guess he liked it, because when I said "off!" he glanced at me over his shoulder and turned back to his snack. I very rarely have to give him a command more than once.

Who wants him?

In all seriousness, I don't have much reason for concern, right? Maybe a bit of an upset tummy? I don't think he got a lot of milk, maybe a few tablespoons. It was Rice Krispies Treats cereal, if that matters. He has a pretty solid stomach, but I'll prep him with pumpkin just in case.

Yummm, rice crispy treats cereal is delicious!  I imagine his tummy will be fine.  I don't think that milk and carbs are going to do him any damage.  He'll probably get a sugar high, though.  G did when she counter-surfed half a slice of tiramisu.

  • Petey! It's very rude to stick your tongue in other people's yummy treats!!

Zoey totally did this with a glass of Vanilla 'Nog back in early December. I'd set the glass on the coffee table and then gone to the other couch to give H a kiss. Next thing you know, "slurp, slurp, slurp!" her tongue is going a mile a minute! LOL!

She was totally fine. A little bit of dairy here and there won't hurt anything, and the sugars didn't seem to bother her at all either.

  • Haha.  Bad Petey!  I hope it wasn't the last bowl of cereal from that box; then you're really in trouble!
