main line bachelorette party?
I'm hosting a bachelorette party for a good friend in mid-Feb. We've done center city so many times for bachelorettes, so we're thinking about going out to a nice dinner and then to a bar or two in the main line area.
Since I only recently moved to Ardmore, we haven't checked out too many restaurants yet. Any recommendations for nice restaurants/fun bars (preferably along Lancaster Ave?).
Ideas I've come up with so far are...shopping at Suburban Square then dinner at White Dog Cafe, Xilantro, or Verdad, and then Brownies for some late-night dancing. I've been to matador and didn't like it (everything was too cheesy and salty) so I'd rather not go there.

Re: main line bachelorette party?
Nectar is also good, but a little farther out on 30. Is Tango still around? I had a great meal there once...years ago.
Get yourself good and liquored up before you go to Brownies
I went there for a bach party a few years ago and I felt like I was a senior citizen compared to the college crowd!
True this.
You could also do a Narberth "bar crawl."
Oh, I don't plan on going there unless we are! It would definitely be the last stop of the night b/c it's close to my house.
I didn't love Verdad. I was hoping I would, but it was definitely disappointing.
Is the McGillicuddy's in Ardmore still around? We used to go there back in the day and it was fun

It is still around --- I haven't been there but it's super close to our house. I'll have to look into it!
See, I loved Verdad (been there twice!) but hated Matador. Maybe it's all about which plates you order!
Tango is still around and still good! What about that Mixx place in Villanova? We were thinking about going to Paramour in the Wayne Hotel for our anniversary but I changed my mind at the last minute.
McGillicuddy's is still In Ardmore.
Im drawing serious blanks here for bach parties/dancing on the main line besides brownies. Perhaps this is a business opportunity I should look into.
kross: My friends would love the class. They're all silly and we'd definitely make fun of it!
I think this is it--the website was not so snazzy when I was looking at it years ago, but this sounds right. http://www.artofexoticdancing.com/index.htm
