Restaurant recs near Inner Harbor?

My friend from OOT is attending a conference & staying in the Inner Harbor. I need a restaurant rec that is not too expensive (I'm thinking less than $20 per entree, but slightly cheaper is better) and it MUST have a vegetarian option. I'm trying to avoid chain restaurants as the ones I've been to there have been underwhelming (I thought they were overpriced for the quality of the food). I'm willing to drive somewhere else, but I don't want a whole lot of parking hassle. I'll have a car, but he won't.

I am totally drawing a blank. Any suggestions?

  • La Tasca is a localish chain I think, but they have a lot of vegetarian options. Miss Shirley's is right by PowerPlant and has great food and also a lot of veggie options.

  • Thanks! I know the less than $20 per entree is killer, but the friend is from a LCOL and I don't want to sticker shock him. Plus, I am not sure how much is being covered by his work vs. out-of-pocket.

  • I second Miss Shirley's. As long as you're not ordering drinks or crab cakes, you should be able to stay under $20.

  • I think if the total meal is over $20, that's fine, I just want the entrees to be less than $20. Thanks for the rec!Big Smile

In the Harbor, it's definitely killer. There aren't many good restaurants in the pavilions IMHO, and the decent places around there are pricey.

In the $20 range, Miss Shirley's is wonderful and is right across the street from the Harbor, and Joe Squared pizza is supposed to be awesome (in Power Plant), but it can get really nuts (i.e. drunks) later at night.
