Caribbean island with 3 year old in August
Any suggestions of an island to visit in August with a three year old? I'd like a safe place with good food-some options that would be easy for my DS.
Re: Caribbean island with 3 year old in August
If you would consider the Bahamas, try Atlantis. We have taken DS three times. Super family friendly. We stay in the condos too so they have DVD players and a kitchen...nice for a relaxing breakfast in. There is a shuttle to the grocery store. Resort has an aquarium, zero entry pools, kid pools and water slides appropriate for little one's that age. THe beach is fab too. We are going again this year....
We just went to Turks and Caicos with our 4 year olds in December. It's really a great place for children. The beach is beautiful and there are tons of condo-resorts (kitchens and separate bedrooms make vacationing with children so much nicer). Its a very safe island, as well.
We stayed at the Veranda:

It's a low-key all inclusive. It was beautiful and we really enjoyed it. There's also Beaches, if you want a more active, busy vacation. And then there's tons of other choices ranging from moderate to luxury resorts, if you don't want AI.
Good luck with your plans.
