May sound crazy...midwest GTG?
I know this is way early to start talking about this, but we started planning the NYC GTG in June for the September date. Who's interested? I know Chicago and St Louis were thrown out there for location ideas, preference or other ideas? Also since we have so many spring babies on the way I'm sure it'll be hard to get as many people there but let's try to do the best we can :-) If you're due to have a baby mention your due date too!
PS Obviously I'm interested since I'm starting the conversation :-) Chicago is my vote!

Re: May sound crazy...midwest GTG?
I am pretty much out for this year! BUMMER!!!! The only way I could swing it if it was in like Kansas City or something. KC would be fun place to have it, too...just an idea... : )
PS. Due June 28
PPS (said in the voice of Vector from Despicable Me...) - I am sure Jeni would approve of a KC GTG. Haha! : )
I'd be down for whatever...and I throw Chicago out there not because I live here but because it is easy to get to. BUT I'd travel to get wherever we could to get there.
We initially were going to do it because Cindy was coming into Chicago in May, but she isn't anymore.
I still want to do one.

April Nesties March siggy challenge: Next Vacation, Anguilla!!
Yay looks like we might be able to work this out! Sounds like later in the year might be more beneficial for a lot of us, and it's good to be able to set aside our $ for those of us who have to travel a distance. Hopefully we'll hear from some more people this week to get a feel for where/when we can set this up!
PS For you east coast ladies, I looked into the train and it is a ghastly long ride, like 17 hrs from Washington DC. (Stacy I don't know how you did that when you went to see Bill Clinton!) But the cost is only like $150 or less based on a weekend in August which is really affordable but obviously time consuming! So looks like my plan will likely be to suck it up with the $ and fly unless it looks like I won't be using up all my vacation time by then.

i'm not going to make any promises. it all depends on when it is, financial situation, and coordinating with school. I would love to go to chicago! DH would be SO freaking jealous.

I guess I'd have to see when it is and all.....originally planned to go to Chicago in May for my 40th but a mandatory work weekend for DH is in the air for that month and they won't know until almost last minute. Kind of effed things up for us, but I guess it is what it is and it's out of his hands. We had to move it to a driving-distance place in MI in case we need to change the date so my sister & BIL can be with us on my birthday.....
Keep me posted on the date and I'll see what I can do!!!!
ETA: If you do go with August I can already RSVP that I won't be able to make it. That's Amanda's birthday month & we still do the big parties until she turns 16 so the whole month is pretty much crunch time.
I missed the NYC trip since I had my Sister in law in town and we attended the Marc Anthony concert...
But I sooooo in for Chicago... Awesome!!!
I mentioned this on the other post, but I am in!!
I absolutely vote for Chicago - as I travel there several times a year for business and I simply adore the city!!
I will move mountains to be there. Sounds like the group may be a little smaller, but it should still be a fabulous time. There is so much to see and do there - I'm super tickled!
Sometimes I fly, like I did for the previous 4 trips before the Bill visit - but my preference is the train. I just love a long train ride - and when traveling first class/sleeper it isn't that bad at all...the accommodations are private and it is a great way to unwind and enjoy the countryside. But I also realize that it is definitely not for everyone.
Woo hoo!!! And who knows? Maybe some of the ladies who aren't sure now may have things change down the road - we have a little ways to go :-))
