What's Bugging You Wednesday?

Re: What's Bugging You Wednesday?

  • I can't find 1 of DS's socks.  He hates wearing socks, so he only wears them when we go out, but sometimes I forget to take them off when we get home, so I'll put him down for a nap & then he wakes up & has thrown them over the crib.  I'm hoping I already put it in the laundry & forgot that I did it.  Otherwise it's in the black hole in his room!

  • My lack of motivation to do anything.  I have so much that I should be doing and that I need to do but yet I keep getting distracted.

  • The paper I'm currently writing.

The fact that I don't really want to be at this job anymore.

I don't like DH's job because they are poooopy.

and I'm hungry. FROZEN GRAPES ARE WAITING FOR ME AT HOME.

  • Also, I heard that Leah from Teen Mom 2 is pregnant and engaged. She's 19. She was already married once for 6 months and already has twins.

It really bugs me that this is starting to become not necessarily acceptable but more of the norm in society.

    Less people are getting married.
    Divorce rates are rising.
And kids outside of marriage are popping out of wombs.

Call me old fashion but I love the idea of meeting a nice guy, courtship, relationship, engagement, marriage, married life, THEN babies.

DH and I have been married for exactly 2 months today. We've talked about children plenty and are excited to be parents in a couple YEARS. It's not something we want to rush into. I can understand for some, that's what they want (they're financially ready and their biological clocks are ticking) but we're willing to wait.

AND a friend of mine who just turned 20 in December posted on FB a photo of 2 positive home pregnancy tests and said "Well, I guess I'm adding to the statistics!" I did not 'like' it.

  • I feel like I have no self control with eating today. I seriously am eating crap today.
My leg is killing me from yesterdays Meijer incident but I'm glad I was able to get 2 miles in still this morning. Though I needed to ice it during my morning coffee.
My child is refusing a nap- keeps coming downstairs telling me he slept (uh, when? While you were talking and jumping around in your room? Or when you were sitting on the potty, pretending to have to go? Or when you were walking up and down the stairs?)
I need a nap, and if said child doesn't go to sleep, I can't either. Sadly, even if he goes to sleep, I probably won't sleep Embarrassed

I really have a ton to do but have no motivation to do so.

  • After DH's dissertation defense, there were about 3 weeks when he was home a lot, helping out with chores, and hanging out with me in the evenings.  He got me a new game for Christmas, and we've been playing it just about every night.  We even had a couple date nights out.  It was pretty awesome!  Well, this week he's been back in the lab until midnight every night.  And it's going to be this way for at least the next month.  I'm really bummed about it. :(
  • I repeat... my child is bugging me.  Now... children. All because said child is refusing to be quiet.

Also... our pedi- they refused to listen to my concerns with B not talking at 19 months. Told me to come back in 3 months if he doesn't start talking. She doesn't want to wait until 24 months, but 22 months is ok?  FRUSTRATING.

    What game did you get?

I'm sorry he's back in the lab!  Hopefully he'll have time hang out with you soon!
