S/o my s/o... How did you end up here?
Born here or transplant? From where? Tell me a story...
Re: S/o my s/o... How did you end up here?
Born in Western Washington (about 45 minutes North of Seattle), moved to Seattle to attend UW, and still live in Seattle.
DH, on the other hand, is a Northern Californian transplant, he moved here to attend UW and stayed here with me.

Once upon a time..
Actually the story isn't interesting at all. DH and I both grew up in AK and knew after grad school we wanted to move. DH works for a world wide company and a few offers came in for places such as Connecticut, Georgia, Las Vegas and then Seattle. We had already decided that we're more West Coasters, so we chose Seattle.
Our time here is limited - though its not a contract - usually managers in this position only stay in a place for 3-4 years.
This made me LOL. I ended up here in a similar fashion

A long time ago, my grandfather owned a lot of real estate in Korea, but his eldest daughter lived in the US which made passing on inheritance difficult. So he looked into buying real estate in downtown Seattle (to pass on to her, my mother) because he'd always loved this city and thought having a US-based home there would be nice.
He passed away a few months later, but before he did, our entire family spent a few days in Seattle on a layover trip from Nebraska (my grandfather was flying there regularly for medical treatments). It stuck with me apparently, though I was only 11. I remembered loving the city a lot even though it was raining the whole time we were here.
Then in college, I met my husband online and we started doing that weird internet dating thing before finally meeting in person a few months later. (He came out to Massachusetts to visit me.) And combine him living in Vancouver, some longtime friends having moved to Seattle, and previous good feelings about Seattle as a city, I moved out here in 2004.
And stayed here since.
There might have been a moment when D and I were talking about getting married that I harbored hopes of moving to New York City, but it seemed too much to put on him, moving countries and then cross-country all at once.

Military brat, lol. Born in Cali, stayed there for ~3-4mos, moved to VA, moved to MD, moved to TX, parents divorced, moved to Seattle (where Mom grew up/her family lives), moved to PA, graduated high school/Mom moved out, ended up moving back to Seattle b/c it's the place I liked best out of everywhere I lived.
DH was also born in Cali, stayed there for ~6-9mos, moved to MI... and stayed there thru college. He moved out here for his current job in 2005.

I'm from all over the west coast of WA lol.
I was born in Centralia, WA, then moved with my mom to Vancouver, WA when I was a few months old so my mom could be with my grandma who was dying from a bunch of different cancers
Then when I was 13 I moved to Seattle to live with my aunt for a year, then back to Vancouver to live with mom again, then back to live with my aunt for the end of my junior year and my senior year of hs (she had gotten married, had a kid, and moved from Montlake to Ballard to Lake Forest Park in that time lol).
Went up to Bellingham for a year to go to WWU, then moved down to Chehalis where my mom had moved back to (her hometown is Centralia), and lived there for all of about 3 months before I moved back to LFP to my own apartment. Lived there for exactly a year, then moved to Shoreline with my bf (now DH lol), then we moved to Edmonds about 3 years ago.

I was born and raised in Mount Vernon, minus a year stint in Yakima. My mom and I moved back without my dad when she found out he was having an affair. Went to college in Spokane for 4 years and met DH there. Moved back home and then got engaged and moved to Redmond after we got married.
DH grew up in Anchorage until he was 15 when they moved down to Spokane. We met there and he got a job in Redmond after we had been doing the long distance thing for a year.
