WWYD? Background Colour Decision
Hello Ladies I am looking for advice:
I am about to embark on a new quilt (for me!) and I am struggling to pick a background solid for my quilt top.
I will be using the Swoon Pattern:

With the following main fabrics (Citrine pallette of Heirloom from Joel Dewberry)

The white base matches Kona Snow or PFD the best. I wanted to go with a darker colour, although I'm scared it will overpower the soft yellows. Any thoughts? This fabric doesn't appear to pair well with greys to my eyes, although a warm grey or taupe might work.
I need opinions and options!
Re: WWYD? Background Colour Decision
It would depend on what you're looking for. I think white would probably work best, but either a cool gray (Kona Medium Gray) or a taupe-ish gray (Kona Stone) would probably be okay too.
If you want to be really bold, I'd probably pair with the lightest shade of orange in the quilt. It seems to be a nice tangerine-y color and that will coordinate with your prints and provide a good contrast with the yellows.
Stand up for something you believe in.
White base fabric, orange backing, and blue hand stitching.
That would be lovely... I've never hand stitched though so that is a scary proposition. Maybe I should start practicing.
