Re: Can someone spoil RHOBH for me?
Kim finally showed up and Kyle figures out that Kim and Ken's room is right next door. She keeps trying to listen through the walls and gets a little testy that Kim doesn't come over and say hello.
They have a group dinner that night for Mauricio's birthday and Kim says that they missed the plane because Ken had to work. Mauricio circles back to that a bit later and harps on it for awhile because, as far as anyone knows, Ken is retired. Kim says that he works one day/week and the day they were leaving was the day he had to work. In interview clips, she explains that she says that because she doesn't feel like dealing with the whole passport-license story.
Kyle and Mauricio make a few jabs and pointed remarks throughout the meal about honesty, trying to get Kim and Ken to tell the truth, but they stand their ground that the story they're telling is the truth. (aside: don't these idiots remember what they say in interviews, like, I don't know, admitting to lying?)
Paul and Adrienne have a rare moment of affection when Paul toasts his wife and she's urged to kiss him like she means it. There's tongue.
The next day is a group catamaran trip and the group has been waiting in the bus for 20 minutes for Kim and Ken. Kyle and Lisa go bang on their hotel room door, which goes unanswered. They then scale the balcony, crawling between Kyle and Kim's rooms, and bang on the sliding glass doors until they're answered. Explanation: wake up call didn't come. Or alarm didn't go off. Conflicting stories.
The group is annoyed to be waiting, yet again, and they finally just leave. Kim and Ken leave in a private car a bit later and show up to the dock just as the catamaran is leaving. They go back to the hotel and have lunch together... and apparently that's it. They're asked about it later and say they didn't go to the pool, didn't go to the beach, just had lunch and relaxed. They talk about the grilling the night before and Ken says that he won't take anyone's crap. Kim's wearing a tight leather choker onto which her wrinkly neck skin collects in a little puddle, which I fixate upon and cannot stop staring at.
The group has a good time on the catamaran. Lisa can't stop looking and commenting on Brandi's body. Brandi flirts with one of the crew members. Lisa and Adrienne stay on the boat while everyone else snorkels. There may be more - I was only half paying attention. I know that Camille's body is friggin' awesome and I really loved Kyle's cover-up. And Lisa's bikini top looked like lingerie, thanks to the clear underwire and the embroidery on the cups.
Another group dinner that night. Kim is walking along with Paul and Adrienne, discussing Ken, saying nice things, and Ken comes from behind a bush all pissed off and defensive because he assumes they're speaking negatively about him. He's very brash and overbearing and accusatory... and way off base. He finally settles down and gives Paul a hug. AWKWARD.
At dinner, yet again, the issue of "so HOW did you miss the plane?" comes up again. Kim and Ken are exasperated, refuse to really get into it, Ken says "we don't care" when their disrespect is pointed out, and finally, they leave. Kyle gets all weepy, Lisa gets on her case only because she thinks harping on it is silly and won't change anything, Brandi defends Kyle, everyone pretty much seems to be on the same page - Kim and Ken were rude and disrespectful of everyone's time and they're lying about what happened.
Back in CA, Taylor has lunch with Dana, who despite all her hopes to travel to Hawaii with the Popular Girls, is home as well. Taylor tells Dana that she's left Russell, Dana gets choked up, holds Taylor's hand, speaks soothingly. She's doing the best she can to comfort her. Taylor's struggling because all of her friends are in Hawaii and she doesn't have many people to talk to about what's going on. Dana assures her that the girls will come around and get over their frustration with Taylor and her situation now that Taylor has left Russell - she blames the girls' behavior on the fact that they all hated Russell and had to pick at Taylor just to keep from being around them. Or something like that. She speaks like a surfer dude half the time and my translator is broken.
Previews for next week: Kim and Kyle have a teary confrontation (surprise!). Camille and Adrienne are angrily discussing the threatened lawsuit thing with somebody who isn't show. Taylor's crying. Cedric appears at a party that, I'm guessing, they're all attending. Won't that be pretty?

Loved the recap! Lol about Kim's leather choker necklace, I thought the same thing too.
Other observations, did anyone see how long Kim's hair was? I knew Kyle had very long hair but Kim's was down her back.
I'm glad Brandi is fitting in more with the girls, she adds a fresh perspective. I know her behavior leaves a lot to be desired, but I think she's there to just have fun and to forget about her personal/love life. Not pushing a book, a restaurant, a casino, etc. And how about her calling it on Kim's addiction issues (where Kim was/is in rehab recently).
Kim's Ken is a weasel, he is so gross.

I thought Kim looked high or something when she was eating lunch w/ Ken when everyone else was on the catamaran. And Kyle was right, whatever happened where they overslept...it was 2:30 LA time! I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon, we were always up at like 8am since it was really around 1pm EST.
I thought Dana looked really pretty when she was having lunch w/ Taylor. She looked really natural and doesn't look like she's had any work done to her face.
I read in OK magazine an interview that Cedric did and he said that the producers invited him to the opening party of Sur to cause drama.

I think that Kim and Ken were terribly rude and I'd have been fed up with them, too. I fully support leaving them on the day of the boat trip.
But bringing it up over and over, especially at the group events, was too much. Kyle and MauricE needed to let it go. I get their annoyance with Kim and Ken lying and they were right, but rehashing it just wasn't necessary.
