It always freaks me out when the nest & "real life" collide.
Like when I realized I went to HS with slc2b. 
Or this morning when I discovered that toddswife & I have a mutual FB friend who is not a nestie - another HS classmate. (I commented on a post of hers you also commented on, K.)
It really is a small world sometimes.

I was just musing how my 6 degrees of separation are more like 3 degrees. Turns out a former nestie's dh and a CW of mine went to hs together and I discovered this on FB.
Last night I found out that a classmate of mine who I just found out died last month, worked with dd1's bff's dad and she went to his funeral and is now dating one of his sons.

Yeah, this has happened a couple of times here.
I went to HS with Druid's H - and it was a really small school.
WineCat & I have a friend in common - I know her from my boys' school, and I think WC knows her b/c she's a wedding planner
A couple of Nesties were/are associated with a horse group I was in, and a couple others went to the same (larger) HS I graduated from, or have friends in common.
I still remember when DH accompanied me to the first(?) Nestie summer picnic and realized he knew Nanna's H through work somehow, and they ended up living practically down the street.
Small world... or maybe I just need to move away from the west Metro area for longer than a year sometime...

I have had it happen a few times on FB that I do a double take and notice "hey wait, I have intersecting friends where I didn't even know that I did!"
Occasionally I have Nesties say "I saw Todd at ________ the other day," and it is so strange. (Poor Todd, random women have seen him wearing a Christmas sweater from the KMart women's dept, sporting various c&p'ed in "props", and now they can all pick him out of a crowd. Sorry honey, I blew your cover.)

If you went to HS with slc2b, then you probably know another one of my clients, Amber, who is also friends with lm2b (I know you know her IRL, too!).
Crazy small world!
Yes, when I first started posting, I realized that Toddswife worked with my SIL.
Crazy!
Crazy! I felt that way when I found out that MTJuneBride's dad was my boss at my job my 3rd year of law school.
The other day I was at N's taekwondo class talking with a new mom who just moved to CO and it turned out we went to rival private girl schools in OH at the same time and we knew all of each others' friends from back then. It's crazy how small the world can be sometimes.
It is a really small world!
I thought it was crazy when I saw that ruby soho is a mutual friend on FB with a girl I went to high school with....and I went to a small, American high school in GERMANY!! It was really weird finding that out.
Also, Nutmegs (I don't think she's on here anymore) just got some some pictures of her and her DH from photographer, who is the sister of a girl I graduated college with...that was really crazy.
There were a couple others, but I'm just spacing them right now.
Miss her around here - and she is my freaking career hero!

I actually kind of love it, it makes me think that my nest friends aren't imaginary.

I don't think I've said this yet, but I was in many classes with your H at UNC and my H worked with your friend Henry D!

Back when I was on the knot, a knottie and another knottie's DH went to the clinic I worked at. I got to know one of them pretty well before we figured it out.
Had Goldenjes and I not met previously via the nest we would have probably met IRL. We ended up in the same IRL mom's group by total chance.
Mallrat'smom has worked with DH's cousin.
I am fairly positive I went to middle school with a nestie who lurks here.
Ha, yeah that was crazy! And SOO long ago now! You posted about how your 10 year reunion was that night and I was like hey!! Sad that was SIX years ago almost!!

Given how big this company is, I always wonder if I'll find other employees on the nest.
That was crazy! I think that same day I found out that MrsHolbrook and I went to the same high school in MT. Weird how we all found our way to this little place on the internet.

Most of mine are through DH since I didn't grow up here.
Let's see
DH went to HS in a small town with a Nestie who I haven't seen here in a while.
Another current nestie is MIL's BFF's niece and DH was good friends with her cousin in HS. She also grew up in the same state as I did but different cities and we never crossed paths there. Did I mention the city DH grew up in a city of ~10,000.
DH and another Nestie DH worked at the same company for 10 years(DH left 1 year ago) but in different departments. They know a lot of the same people.
Sam and I used to work in the same building in fact her company moved to the floor I worked on before my company vacated the floor and moved my department.
I think a different nestie worked in the same building as DH at his last job but at a different company.

I went to college with our mutual friend. We just reconnected since I opened LC.
You and I used to work for the same company.
Twodaisies and I were neighbors in college and my roommates mom cooked our graduation party food in her kitchen. She figured it out when someone posted my real name.
I went to HS with one of Maddie's coworkers.
Ziggy nannied for my neighbors.
Rox and I went to the same HS. I figured it out when she posted about a common friend with an unusual name.
There may be others but I can't remember.
eta: This one just freaked me out. LittleMissGreenEye's DH just commented on a FB post of a good friend of mine!
eta2: Looks like LMGE and her DH and I attended the same wedding 5 years ago. Crazy!
