Bridal Shower location- Main Line

My best friend is getting married in June to our Best Man.  She's from upstate NY, so having a shower there and a shower here.  This one will be mainly groom's side of the family and local friends.

Any ideas for lunch place locations?  I'm thinking a Saturday lunch.  They live in Bryn Mawr, so anywhere in that general location is good.

Re: Bridal Shower location- Main Line

  • What kind of establishment are you looking for?  I immediately thought of the Great American Pub in Wayne and Gullifty's in Bryn Mawr, assuming both can accomodate private parties given their size.  However, not sure if they aren't "nice" enough.  I am also thinking of the Radnor Hotel.

  • I have no idea what type of location.  I'm looking into anything and everything at this point.

  • White Dog

I heard Ellas in Devon is nice inside.  It is new, so no clue on anything.

I hosted a bridal shower at the Sheraton in Malvern.  They did a really nice job for the money.

Someone also just told me they did a tea party which was a big hit for the guests.

    Good Luck

  • How about the Paddock at Devon? (former John Harvard's location)

  • I second the Radnor Hotel--I've done events there for work and looked into hosting my best friend's bridal shower there. They do a nice afternoon tea service and the spaces are lovely. There's an outside patio area you could use in the warmer months. Ultimately, we ended up hosting her shower at the alumni house at Bryn Mawr College, where she went to school. They have an Inn attached to the house with event spaces available. The prices were very reasonable, and we were also able to bring in our own alcohol which helped with the costs too. It has a Victorian sort of feel.

I am current grad student at Bryn Mawr, maybe that will help. Thanks!

  • The Paddock closed.
  • I would check out the Villanova Conference Center too, it's a really pretty spot. http://www.acc-villanovaconferencecenter.com/events/weddings.cfm
  • Thank you everyone! Lots of good places.

  • Exactly!  I heard they told their staff Sat prior to work that this was the last shift.  I don't know how true and accurate this is, but read it on FB via Main Line magazine.
