QOTD

Have you ever had the cops called on you?

After our wedding, in my SIL hotel room there were like 30 people and apparently it got out of control or just super noisy. Chris and I weren't even there because we were making the marriage official, lol.  They just came and made everyone leave. We went back down and everyone was gone, my SIL told us the cops just left.

Re: QOTD

  • In 7th grade there was this multi-family house on the corner right near the middle school and a bunch of kids used to hang out on the steps and smoke (cigarettes not pot, but some were dealing pot, cocaine, and acid).  Well, I guess one day one of the tenants got fed up with the 7th and 8th graders smoking on the steps and called the cops on us.  After that we moved down the street to the church steps.

Me and a friend were out driving one night in high school and drove behind the post office to turn around.  I guess one of the employees saw us hanging out in the parking lot and then driving behind the building and called the cops on us.  We told the cop we were trying to figure out where to go get something to eat and drove behind the building to turn around (which was true).  He let us go with a warning.  But I guess it was a big deal since the building had been broken into a couple times that week.

That's all I can think of.  There may have been another time but I can't remember.

Do the college campus police count because I had them called on us for loud parties and alcohol outside several times.  They didn't mind a couple people just sitting around chatting and drinking outside but when you have a bunch of people outside that was an issue.

  • Several times in college.  Not on me per se, but on parties I was at.  Thankfully one of my sorority sisters, real sisters was dating, then married to a campus cop, so we got to slide by probably more than necessary.

  • Anyone remember my wedding? Well there was that....

The cops were called when my roommate and I threw a Christmas party back in Dec 06. Apparently we were too loud. One of my friends brought her husband who was a county cop so when the other cop showed up, they knew each other and everything was totally cool.

I'm sure there have been other times but I can't think of any right now.

  • Aside from parties in college or just after being too loud, I can't think of anything. I like to think that those weren't entirely my fault, but I'm sure I wasn't helping the situation.

  • I was at a few college parties where cops showed up.  Other than that, no.
