It looks like Spirit airlines you are allowed one personal item (like a purse) and they charge you a carry on fee if you have something additional. I've never heard of this! Also, read that if you want the agents to print the boarding pass, it's a $5.00 per boarding pass and $2.00 if you print at the kiosk. And of course a fee if you want to pick your seat out ahead of time. I am not a frequent traveler, but travel at least once a year and this all seems new to me. Or, maybe I just haven't flown Spirit in awhile.

Ya, booking a flight through them from DFW to LAS was the worst choice I could have made. By the time they finished getting me for all they could (carry ons plus checked baggage... plus on board snacks/drinks)... I would have paid less (if not the same) just booking through American.
On top of that- service at the check-in counter was very unprofessional and their appearance was not very well groomed (which I think is a must for this type of industry). It actually made me feel uncomfortable about who I was about to trust with my life to fly me across the country.
Never again will I consider them. Never Ever Ever Ever!
