I'm throwing a pity party and y'all are invited.
I had a file last night that took three times as long as I expected it to. I was almost done around 3:30 and thought, "Well, I can get maybe four hours of sleep if I'm lucky. I can function on four hours." Then Will started crying for me, so I ran back to the bedroom and he was throwing up. So I cleaned him up, threw his pillow pet in the bathroom, found him a barf recepticle and a clean blanket, and came back out to finish my file. He kept throwing up, so I kept running back and forth, and then I finished sometime after four, as Lorne was waking up to get ready for school. I had him wash the pillow pet while he took a shower, I tucked Will in again, then I laid down. I was out for maybe 29 minutes before Evie woke up. I settled her down, then I was out for another 20 minutes before Will woke up again. That re-woke Evie up, who I think stayed up the rest of the night/morning, but I just left her in her crib and ignored her so I could try to sleep for an hour or so.
Will is still throwing up. In between bouts of vomit, he tries to convince me that he's all better and should be allowed to have hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream, toast with "lots of jelly and some honey too," and cookies. He can't keep down a saltine and a glass of water, but he's pretty sure he needs ice cream.
While I've been cleaning up puke, Evie has managed to pull all the books and all the DVDs down, throw a glass of water over the chair that was not puked upon, and crumble soda crackers on everything, all while whining like crazy because she's been awake since 4:30 and usually is up at 7 or so.
Lorne has to be in the hospital tomorrow starting at 3:30 AM until 11 or midnight, so I can't really make him stay up with the kids if Evie gets it or if Will doesn't stop puking.

Re: I would like to file a complaint.
So is Evie the clear favorite?
Honestly, Noisy, that sounds like a circle in my hell. And just moved me a further percentage point towards no more children.
I am sorry.
For less then ten cents a day, you can feed a hungry child.
Clearly Evie is your favorite kid today.
Sorry about the pukes.

Damn dude! That super sucks! I wish for lots of sleep for you and no Evie puking.
It has been a week since our three days of puke. Andy still refuses to eat anything that is not a fish stick or cracker. If we ask him to do anything he doesn't want to do, he whines and says his stomach hurts. Manipulative kid. We now ask if he needs to go to the doctor and that snaps him out of it.
Will sucks.
Won't they go to bed early early tonight, though? I mean, Evie was up early, and surely Will is tired from puking. Go ahead and give him the carbs. A nice sugar crash is just what the doctor ordered.
That's rough. I don't think I'd wish that type of day on my worst enemy. You have my deepest sympathies right now.
ETA: Do you have someone that could come help with the kids for a bit while you tried to get a couple hours of sleep?

Well, since we are going down that road...
At least Will will puke in a container. Therefore, he wins.
I'm sorry, dude. That's rough.
You should probably just lock them both up in a closet with some toys and go take a nap.

i see things didn't magically get better since the FB update about this mess.
yeesh! kids, stop torturing your mother!!
oh good lord, noisy. 9th circle of hell indeed.
Is there any service you can look into for a mother's helper for days like this as an emergency? I cant imagine.
I was going to suggest putting Will in the bathroom so he is near the toilet or tub at all times because I hate puke but then I read Cali's comment. DO NOT GO NEAR THE TUB!
Seriously though, that is awful and would be tough enough to deal with without have almost no sleep. Hope Will feels better. I love him even more for thinking the doctor orders are hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream when you are pukey.

The friends/family I could call to help out all have kids and I'd feel bad if I had them come over with their kids and then they got sick too. I might look into a mother's helper service for the future (though we are poors, so it may be out of our price range), but I think I can slog through this time. Lorne has the weekend off and I'm sure we'll take turns taking naps, so it'll be okay. Will doesn't usually take naps, but he's more amenable to them when he's sick, so I might be able to convince him once Evie's down for her nap. Family naptime!
Will is eating toast now, voraciously, after keeping about ten soda crackers down, so I think he's on the mend. Fingers crossed!
Will made it in and out of the bathtub safely, guys. I'm a saint!
I can help but only on evenings and weekends which is really no help at all.
Sorry things haven't gotten any better. I wanted to smack someone on your FB post if that makes you feel any better.
You have all of my non-puke, long-nap vibez. If I could teleport, I would totally help you with Evie. But not with Will, because I've met my puking-child quota for the week. I hope Will continues to be his usual, vomit-free self.
