Myrtle Beach in March

I'd love any and all recommendations for Myrtle Beach and the surround areas, especially those that might be applicable in the off-season.

Thanks so much!

Re: Myrtle Beach in March

  • I gave you some suggestions on the money board, but you also may want to check out Brookgreen Gardens- it's south of the beach, about a 20-30 minute drive, but so pretty and lots of room for the kids to run and play. March weather is usually pretty nice, you should be able to be outside a lot without too many weather problems.

  • Thanks so much for your posts both places and for the suggestions!
  • Charleston is a short drive from Myrtle Beach and it is AMAZING! So much to do there. Tons of history and its beautiful. In Myrtle the Ripleys Aquarium is nice at Broadway at the Beach. Lots of cute shops and resraunts there, IMAX theater, mini golf, ect. Barefoot Landing has lots of shops too and Alligator Adventure alligator park. Huntington State park is south of Myrtle and its beautiful!
  • I would definitely check out Murrells Inlet. We went for an afternoon and dinner after walking around the area. We ate at Capt. Dave's Dockside restaurant which had amazing food. My dad also raved about eating at Drunken Jack's which is in Murrells Inlet too. He had ate there on some prior visits and loved it.
