So the downtown aquarium is having a special Valentine's date night. It is a 3 course dinner, wine, roses, 2 passes into the aquarium and a photo. It is after normal hours. Reservation required.
So on their facebook page under this post a woman comments
" Can we bring our 16 month old son? I don't have anyone to babysit but would still like to go out."
They never replied to her.
My thoughts are
1. It is over a month away, so she could find someone to babysit
and
2. This is for adults and she shouldn't bring her son anyways and is being a little inconsiderate towards others.
It is called Romance Under the Sea, what is romantic about having kids around?
Re: Your thoughts.
Nothing is romantic about having kids around.
That is such an awesome idea, but I would be livid if we made reservations to go there and someone brought their kid.
Idiots.
I agree that Valentines' should be more about the couple and leaving the kid at home is ideal for everyone, including other customers there.
However, the aquarium here is a known family hotspot that is crawling with kids, so it's not surprising she thinks kids are okay to bring.
WTH? uhm...no. What's romantic about a crying baby?
i can't believe that person was selfish enough to ask
I get it. It's usually a kid-friendly place... but it's a romantic night... surely they'd want to spend a little alone time without the kid.
I agree with this, it is the same here. Though I would think after hours, wine, and two passes would completely eliminate any chance of children being allowed.
I would probably also comment on them losing customers if children are allowed.
this is time for another edition of:
"babies ruin everything" -GLW
That sounds so magical.
Let's not let a baby ruin it. They ruin everything you know.
That's perfect!
Oh I can't take credit for that. It's GLW's original quote.
Exactly. And 2 passes. + Wine.
Maybe it is because I do not have kids of my own but I do not understand why you "cannot find a sitter" when it's over a month away.
That is more than enough time to find a sitter.
Find a sitter or stay home. You had a kid and now you don't get to to all of the things that you want to do when you want to do them. That was your choice. It is not a requirement that you go to this event.
Sorry...had screaming babies ruin quite a few dates in the past.
