I need a dentist rec

I know everyone hates their dentist but I need you ladies to dig deep and rec one for me.  I live in Riverview but I want something IN Tampa city limits and someone that is not a cockydouchbag.

I finally got dental insurance and now I think my job might soon be gone so I need to pick one fast and get in soon.  I know I will need at least 2 wisdom teeth pulled and possibly a root canal.

Thanks ladies Geeked

Re: I need a dentist rec

  • I really love where I go, it's http://www.bertochdental.com/

Dr. Bertoch was awesome, but sadly he passed away from cancer over the summer. The other dentist is Dr. de la Torre, and she seems good. Mostly I love the office and the hygenist- I see Penny and she is so sweet and nice to deal with.

They're located near the Citrus Park mall, which is not near my house, but I've never tried to find anywhere closer to me bc I like them so much :) I was referred to them when another dr tried to scam me in 2005 and say I had 9 cavities.... I went to Dr. Bertoch for a second opinion on the rec of a co-worker and he found that I only had 1, not 9, lol-- so from then on I always trusted their practice and have gone there ever since. MH and my FIL go there too.

Now that I have written a novel....lol. If you ever do end up going there, pretty please say I referred you because they have a patient referral program :)

  • Dr. Stephen Harkey (561-677-1177) came highly recommended to me, and he is who I saw while I loved there. I'm super picky about dentists, because of some really bad experiences. He's in Riverview though, off 301.

  • I hate going to the dentist because I used to have a really mean dentist before I moved here and I have very sensitive teeth and gums and a gag reflex.. so I'm a hot mess basically.

I found this dentist through coworkers a few years ago and felt so much better.  He is on the younger side and really warm/friendly.  The dental hygenists there are also really friendly and nice.

It's M Walker and associates and it's on the back side of the Westshore Mall near Macy's.  It's not actually in the mall but it's connected to the back of it.

  • Yes!  My husband and I just started with Dr. Stephen Krist who is on Davis Island  Blvd.  He was recommended by a pediatric dentist that I swim with. I've been twice and my husband once and I feel like he is very honest.  He was not calling cavities just to have me pay him to get them filled.

I swear with my last dentist said I had more cavities in the 1.5 years of going to him than I did my whole life.  And he sucked so bad he had to RE-fill 2 of them, twice.  Don't get me started.

  • I use Scott Arnold. He has an office in Riverview- Brandon and Wesley Chapel. Dr Peterson and Morelli work for him. I suggest the Brandon office With Morelli she is so sweet.
  • Great post! I needed recommendations too. Thanks for the Riverview locations! This  Pregnancy is giving me a really bloody (gums) brushing experience each time no matter how gentle I am when brushing. Time to see a dentist.
