Help decide on Paris apt

We're ready to lock in on a place for our 4-night; but we're indecisive on where to stay.  With the price and space difference of hotels; we're planning on renting an apt.  Here's what we're considering, but having a tough time deciding.  Our family who's been in the past year (2 sep. trips) thinks that any of the locations are good.

What's your take travel board?  Which would you rec btwn price, location, space?

#1: 380E total; Arros. 7

#2: 500E total, Arros 6/7

#3: 510E total, South in Arros. 7

#4: 510E total, Latin Qtr

#5: 520E total, north of Siene, near Notre Dame

#6: 520E total, NE Latin Qtr

Or do you have something else you'd suggested at the same price range? TIA

Re: Help decide on Paris apt

  • I used to live in Paris.

My first choice would be #4. It has a great location (walk to the Seine and Blvd Saint Germain), cool beams and looks cute inside, has a balcony with a great view and is 40m2. I don't think you could go wrong here.

My 2nd choice would be #2. Also a good location (cross the Seine to the Louvre and Tuileries and close to Blvd. Saint Germain). Bigger at 50m2

My 3rd choice would be #6. Decent location. Good view. Larger at 44m2.

I would never stay at #5. Too small at 25m2 (256 square feet!) especially for the price and I don't really like that area as much. It is much nicer on the other side of the river unless you stay in the Marais (the 4th).

#1 is also small at 32m2 and also not one of my favorite areas. It also looks like a students apartment to me. You are not as centrally located. I would much rather be closer to the Seine and be able to walk across the islands and to Saint Michel.

#3 is also small at 30m2 and not really centrally located or close to much that you might be interested in.

  • My top two choices would be #2 and #4 based on the location and space.
