I didn't contact her and I'm hoping not to. I've also recently been diagnosed with ADHD and my impulse control is not the greatest, if you add in my cyclic thinking it always comes back to "but I want to" even when I know it's not reasonable. I was also able to talk to my sister and a friend who went through a very similar situation (though she did contact the other woman) and they both helped me tremendously just by listening and understanding me. Right now I'm not going for any treatment for the ADHD as I'm still researching it and my counselor says that I may not need medication once I can work through some of my other issues. (I'd really rather not take medicine if I can avoid it)
So once again, thank you ladies for keeping me straight. I hope to continue posting here for more support.
(and as I'm posting from my phone I apologize for and crazy formatting issues, I swear it looks nice on my phone
)
Re: Thank you ladies!
Block her on Facebook. Don't tempt yourself. Continue to work with your counselor. There's no shame in taking meds, if that's what you need. It might be a situational thing, or it might be a long term thing -- either way, if a professional thinks they're necessary, give it a go. If your therapist has another plan, follow it. Do not allow yourself to spiral out of control. Do not allow your ex or a diagnosis to get the best of you.
Good luck.
