Morning!
I'm trying to wake up. It's not happening easily. my belly hurts and I feel icky from what will hopefully be my last time eating gluten. Stupid pizza. I know better. All my fault.
I've got to head out to school shortly and I'm kinda thrilled about my early class, Physical Anthropology:
"Focuses upon the interactive process between human biology and human culture, drawing relationships among such concepts as human evolution, human heredity, human biological diversity, and biological micro-adaptations."
It sounds so awesome.

I am excited it's Friday also. We are going to a friend's house for dinner tonight (hopefully we won't miss too much of the hockey game). Then tomorrow I am going to to to the DMV to get my license with my married name(!!). Then I will go to work for a little, lunch at a friend's house, and then dinner with more people. Oy. Sunday will probably be cleaning/laundry/grocery day. And I don't get Monday off

Morning. I don't want to be on TK when it's being dumb.
I'm so glad it's Friday. I'm tired. H didn't take the trash/recycling to the curb this morning, so I had to, and then I was running late for work so I parked in the pay lot instead of my usual space. And then, as soon as I got up to my desk and was taking my jacket off, my necklace broke. Pearls everywhere.

TK is pissing me off. I was trying to hang in there with the morning thread but it's getting incredibly obnoxious.
Pirate- That sucks about your necklace
I hope it wasn't a fancy one. My PI for a lab I did work in for my undergrad gave me this gorgeous spirally necklace (sort of resembled DNA) and I went to put it on the other day and snapped it in half. FI thinks he can somehow finagle a way to get it back together.

I don't know how to say this without it sounding snotty, so I'm just going to say it but know that I don't mean it snotty. I don't own any costume pearls, but it wasn't one of my nicer sets.
I tweeted about it, and @ tagged the company. They responded really quickly with their customer service e-mail address. I just e-mailed them, so we'll see what happens. Even if they just tell me who they recommend in the area to take it to for getting it restrung I'll be happy.
Just got an e-mail back. I love twitter, I didn't have to go searching out their policies or anything. It's going to take a month, but I'll have my necklace back
"Thanks for following up and I'm sorry again about the broken strand. We can absolutely get this restrung at no charge as long as you have all of the pearls through our repair department. Please follow the instructions below and we will get this back to you shortly! "
That's great they might be able to fix it. Yeah, I guess costume wasn't the right word. I just meant not real, I guess.

Glad they're able to restring them for you Pirate. I have one really old set of pearls. If they broke I'd be pretty bummed since they were my grandmas.
JCB- TN is being pretty slow for me to. It's definitely not glitchy like TK but it's taking a little while to load the pages and dialogue boxes.
I want a 3-day weekend. A few weeks back I told my boss that our company is stingy with holidays. She agreed with me. The same day our HR director came up to me and complained of the exact same thing. She told me she was just going to call in sick one day after the holidays. I laughed, and now I assume it's ok to do this since HR does.
