Free Motion Quilting

I'm currently working on quilting a quilt. Most of it I decided to go stitch-in-the-ditch because I figured that was simply the easiest. Where I'm stuck right now is on my borders.

WWYD? Quilt it in a meandering pattern like this tutorial shows?  or do a different design?

Here's my project:

Re: Free Motion Quilting

  • I think some free motion quilting would add a lot of interest to the border!  I say go for it- I love FMQ, it is my favorite.  You could even try to do some interlocking hearts if you wanted to get fancy/ themey.  I followed the outline of an Anna Griffin heart pattern once and it was one of my favorite quilts to work on.

  • Definitely FMQ the border! That would be really pretty.

I can't wait to see the finished product - it looks gorgeous so far.
