Re: FFFC

  • This isn't terribly juicy, but....

I want a baby.  Like now.  The problem is that it's awful awful timing.  I know that there is never a "perfect" time and there will probably always be a reason that the timing seems off.  But, it just isn't logical to try for a kid right now.

We have a house we are trying to sell (reminder, we are paying a rent and a mortgage payment).  I am always working the evening shift while dh is working days.  That may seem like a great set up for a kid, but dh's hours are never set.  Some days he may be off work at 1 in the afternoon and others he may not be finished with work until 8 or 9 at night. So, it would be so difficult to figure out child care, etc when he works late.

I have been looking for different jobs (ie at out patient places so I work days and no weekends, holiday, or call), but there are only 2-3 out patient places in Columbia so the job market is very limited in my field.

I feel like everyone around me is pregnant or have recently had adorable babies.  My news feed is full of pictures of kids and belly pics.  LOL.

I have never had this overwhelming baby fever before very recently.  It's weird for  me, but also very exciting.

  • I'm so freakin' awkward don't ask why I throw these things out there, but anyway..

My boss took me out for drinks after work before Christmas and we start talking about kids and he's like 42 but always mentions kids in their future so I asked if they had a timeline and he starts telling me that they've been trying for two years and have had 4 or 5 miscarriages and I felt awful. I told him how sorry I was and I'd had a lot to drink so I was trying to sympathize and decided to tell him that I don't think I ovulate.

WTH would I tell my male boss that?!?

    Happiest place on Earth!

Aww, I love this :) We've started to get in 'planning' mode too which is weird.

Ooooh, that is bad but I'm cracking up just thinking of you saying this. I hope he was drinking enough too, to not think much about it. lol

You KILL me.  Seriously, that is too funny.  It reminds me of something that would be on Modern Familiy or Seinfeld.

My FFFC is that I want beer.  And a cigarette.  Like, now.  Immediately.  Maybe more than one beer.  GAH!  I've just got a lot of work stress and that is how I typically deal with it (I know, super healthy, right?).

Maybe I'll pick of a 6 of O'Douls and pretend.
