I came into the office today and everyone was moaning and complaining about EVERYTHING. The snow, the students, money, bad hair day... So, let's change it up. Let's be positive. What is going on in your life that is positive/good?
I'll start. Yes, I had to drive in bad snow to get to work, but I am thankful that I have a job. It is a great job that I worked hard to get and it is more than some people out there.

Re: Let's be positive
My OB's finally came to an agreement and I am scheduled for my induction no ifs ands or buts on Jan 19th at 7:30am! That is 6 days from today!!!!! Best news of my life.
Hope everyone has a great day today!!!
Storm- January 19th that sounds like a great birthday! Glad you finally got some concrete news.
It's a beautiful day today, but very cold. And I have my first photography class, which I'm very excited for. Tomorrow me and DH are going to the river (he will be fishing) to take some nature pictures. Here's for usseasonably dry weather!
This is incredibly materialistic of me, but DH and I chatted last night and agreed to get an area rug for the living room, and a new coffee table!
Also in the works are plantation shutters (so excited) and the cutest chicken coop and chickens you ever saw!

Urban chickens for eggs and companions=we are very cool people haha
Last but certainly not least, we leave for Puerto Rico in two weeks! Booooyaaa!!!
I got some cute new shoes yesterday.
Today was payday.
I have a three day weekend.
Hooray!

Thanks ladies! It is so good to hear positives! I forgot to add mine:
Even though there is a lot of snow, I am thankful that I have a job, got home safely, and get to see DH after being away for 3 days! And I get a 3 day weekend!
Well, I didn't have a snow day despite the pretty bad snow we got. But I'm okay with that because it means that we are still scheduled to get done with school on May 30th!
Also, today was payday (thank God, because we were broke with a capital
for both DH and myself. In honor of our newly stable bank account, we are going to make out way to Fresh Market in a few to pick up some goodies to cook dinner together tonight.
We got the nasty snow, and it wasn't a snow day, but I needed today to get through more marking and prep for my students' final exams, so I was happy to be at work!
DH and I are continuing to follow our 'healthier choices' goals and it's paying off, so that makes me really happy, and you know what? I feel FANTASTIC!!
Most importantly, tomorrow (the 14th) is my Grandfather's 85th birthday! Last year at this time we didn't know if he was going to make it through until this year (intense heart surgery and he actually died twice but was revived), so I am incredibly happy and blessed that he's still here! I am heading to his place tomorrow morning to visit with him, and he doesn't know that I am coming, so it will be a nice surprise!
So all-in-all, I am happy and have LOTS to be positive about!!
well although tomorrow is my list "free Saturday" until the end of tax season I am super excited about it because I'm spending the day with my bestie scrapbooking and having a girls night! We haven't gotten to hang out in a while so I'm uber excited.
I'm also excited because DH has been making progress on our reno's on the farm house so hopefully he can get his part done so I can do my stuff and we can get a renter in there and not have to pay out so much extra money each month!
Make that three people with a three day weekend! Yes it is Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday! WooHoo. And it is suppost to snow Monday. Four day weekend? Portland+ snow= City shut down!
